I have to be honest...the whole time I was writing it I just saw Jordin...I'll agree..it would be REALLY hard to write a song that ANY contestant would wail on...Blake is so talented, I'll give you that! But I think if it's him that wins...they should provide him with a finale song in HIS style! That would be really cool.

Why is it that every entry that I've listened to is a slow (usualy boring) ballad. Is it unheard of for anyone these days to write something at least with a little energy?!?!

It isn't that we can't write with energy it's that we write for the situation. In this case, American Idol's classic choice in finale song has been a heartfelt ballad. And when they picked their top 20 they were ALL that way. I find it sad that you took the time to be critical rather than appreciate the artistic offering for what it is. Life is a wonderful adventure and I'm so glad that mine is filled with rich, loving experiences. I wish the same for you my friend :) -Jamie

yeah, a fast song would be nice. you have to think about the contestants, really. jordin could sing this, blake couldn't. jordin could sing a fast song and blake could and it is fun for a fast song.

A truly beautiful and inspiration song from a woman that is both herself. You really feel the passion and emotion in the song as if it were her own journey. I can hear it now at the end of AI when contestants are voted off...leaving them with hope and the thought of knowing they are "winners" even without making it all the way. GOOD LUCK!
