Ooh aah! In my young days we used a MF 35 and Lundell 40" forager! Took ages, and left me with thumping headache (no quiet cabs then). But it worked, and used a lot less fuel. Contractor told me today he uses £500-worth diesel in a day with his Jaguar 870.
Sorry, didn't think to ask at the time as i was too busy thinking about the video, and watching where they were all going. Slap hands for me! Next time I'll ask Colin and post the answer.
this is cool.. i used to live in north yorshire and we had 2 contractors swing by once a year. altho they used a forager that was more like a combine.. one was a class and one a new holland. Tractor/trailer combos changed from year to year.. That was bout 12 yrs ago and i was up there the other day and saw them instantly rememberin what a joy it used to bring me to watch when i was a kid.. nice vid man.
Thanks for your memories. I remember, much further back, using an MF 35 and 40" forager (Lundell) and blowing it straight back into a trailer behind. The noise, and after, the headache (no cabs then!)
Sorry, can't help there. They spin by that fast, and even the one that took me to the clamp (that I noted) has been forgotten. I'll try and get it, and post a comment.
Theres something better about watching the farming done the old way :P
Im guessing your favourite tractor is the 6180, cus its the one you show the most?

We have an old MF35, still going well :D
Only £500? Boy up my road uses nearly £2000 to keep a Jaguar 870, 6 Deeres, A massey and a JCB going :)

Makes you realise why they cost so much! they have to pay all those men as well.

I shall try! Trouble is they don't send you a telegram when about to start! There's lots more silage to be made - waiting for dry weather. . .

Now have models of 4 of the tractors - have uploaded to video description.

Could the Valtra be a T150? Just a guess from a bystander.

Thank you. Pity you couldn't see the whole video (18 mins) as that was a cracker! This has too much missing where I had to hack bits out of it.
