  • That was some bad shit

  • I don't know whats so great about this performance. He is lip syncing and not really playing the drums

  • @DJSexLeopard Think about, what Rihanna, J.Lo, Marlon Roudette and all the others are doing at their perfomances! "lip syncing and not really playing drums, guitar or something else like that" For example: Are you sure, that David Guetta is playing the turntables in a live performance or any other dj? xDDD soo funny

  • @BlauPupsLiniert

Go to a rock concert or country one. They are the only ones where artists really play instruments. Or else attend an old school band's concert. U better be smart with yr bucks!

  • @DJSexLeopard Nobody really sings live anymore. Everyone plays with a tracking behind them. There are very few bands who actually do live singing and playing. Get real. Lmfao.

  • @DJSexLeopard I think that this desynchronisation is due to the video recording/ qualitiy/ etc.

  • PAGALCOW it is now 7 people but im the H$L$ on your side on this song the way you feel about the 7 people!! FACT!!

  • i love this song

VOLTAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA...

  • @zejuliasergio

    genesis ist gut yaaa...

  • Phil collins is fucking awesome and if you don't agree then maybe you should go back to choking down dicks while you listen to hanson you little faggy bitches.

  • @elsWankos dude so negative lol

  • the version of naturally 7 are best

  • His voice is legend!!

  • @RealityPatriot i think ur the worst faggot in history u fkng low life scum maybe u want to taste my dick ? like ur mum did . phill collins is the best performer in the world ?

  • @NLglennNL I hear ya, thats messed up to say about someone who has worked his whole life on making music for us, and people want to say stupid things about this guy, hes just singing a song let him be, Phil Collins maid a statement not long ago saying, " if his critics dont stop, then he might drop everything all together, saying he dont need the money, but people saying shit is making him want to stop, he said Ill play in my basement and write new songs and Ill let no one hear it then

  • @RealityPatriot wow I cant think of any other singer that stay's on key for a whole songs, for a singer to do that these days they have to lip sing

  • @RealityPatriot Phil sounds just like the cd, Ive been to all kinds of concerts, I even saw the rolling stones and they was way off, great show though but off, he plays every instrument, he only sings the truth about real life situations, if u listen to the lyrics man, its chilling stuff

  • @RealityPatriot , not many singers sing this kind of stuff and put the emotion into it like him, so enjoy it while we got it, I know that was just your opinion and thats fine, now this is my opinion, just because he's not singing our type of music doesnt mean he's a fag, I like hard rock stuff, and this is not my favorite music, but I got nothing bad to say about this man, he should be in the hall of fame, singing wise I think he blows MJ away MJ couldnt keep up with him..

  • one of the very best

  • Problem is, these great bands are getting old and our children will miss out what its really like to watch someone that loves music so much, play to the crowd !

  • Problem is, these great bands are getting old and our children will miss out what its really like to watch someone that loves music so much, play to the crowd !

  • PHIL COLLINS IS SO TALENTED!

he can drum and sing! write brilliant songs! and is a good actor too.

justin timberlake and 50 cent aint shit?!

  • I thought this song was preformed by the band Genesis... ?_?

  • @Socom2Sniper10 Phil Collins was the drummer for the band Genesis... So that maybe why you thought they performed it......

  • No symbols just hi-hats love it Phil I just love it! ;)

  • I would like to buy this video - there should be a way to do that when you really love a video and want to pay for it! Its awesome!!

  • if you have realplayer downloaded in your computer, you can record this video from here and play at your leisure.

  • I do and I did but its a shame we cant buy it for like 1 or 2 dollars to show support for the artist! Not the song but the actual little video

  • This song is about his friend that died from drowing and he bared witness to this, and the closest person to his friend was this guy , well this song is about that! and phil sent tickets to this guy in the front row! that's why he's angry

  • i thought that was an urban legnd

  • The story is, Phil was hiking in the Swiss alps a came cross a high mountain lake and witnessed 2 people throw a body out of a canoe. Hw ent to the only road i or out, invited them back for a beverage at the local pub, got names addresses, yadayadayada.

  • Went back hme, wrote the song in like 15 minutes, went on tour, made a point of making sure that tour was close to them, sent them tickets, front row, sat on the edge of stage and sang it to them. They realized the obvious. Thet committed suicide days later,,,,,urban legend....myth....you decide

  • Sorry dude, but that's just made up. It's not about that at all. He's explained enough times in interviews that he just ad-libbed the lyrics during a demo recording and that's what came out. Phil has stressed many times that there is no story behind the song.

  • ive noticed he always looks angry during 'in the air tonight' peformances must be the nature of the song

  • what's a playback?....

  • ..that's a playback...

i love phil and expecially this song..but that's a playback!

  • They've jus added an echo

  • uhm..i don't think so..effects are too much similar to the original studio song..

  • This is not lindsay lohan, this is phil collins your talkin about.... most of the song has an added echo effect therefore it sounds a bit like the studio version...jus accept it even if you dont believe it...

  • lol.. maybe you're right! ;) good collins!

  • wow I've never seen this, thanks!

  • the guitar is amazinggg <3 this is awesome music. ive liked it since childhood lol. i was born in the wrong time lol

  • i heard this song when i was a little kid and its still bad ass my fave part is when he starts on the drums!!

  • the best

  • Love you Phil Collins!!!!!

  • Go Phil, you rock!

  • i love death metal but i grew up on this stuff and i still love it...i remember seeing him when i was like 10 ohh good times

  • Some say that true metal heads who don't like the good old stuff (Jimi Hendrix, Deep Purple, Black Sabbath, Judas Priest and so on) don't excist. I think that they're damnd right. It's great you feel this is real music, no matter you usually listen Meshuggah (I guess? :P)

  • good song

  • is there a voice changer to sound like him....

  • awsome

  • voice isnt as bad as most people from the 80s for example Jame hetfield

  • Genesis made this song he didnt just an fyi

  • that would be incorrect . . .

  • Wrong.

It was his first solo single release.

  • Genesis, huh? You...outta of the gene pool.

  • he is one of the best to see live its great this song is super awesome

  • THE BEST!!

  • this great :*****

  • simply the best

  • is he still alve

  • Yep very much alive. He was seen at Old Trafford earlier this year where Man Utd were playing.

  • 4:10 through 4:16 BEST PART !!

  • i can feel it comeing in the air to night oh lord

  • even though he's getting old, his awesome voice is still the same.

  • very wierd hvernig hann beitir röddinni but very good singing live nonetheless

  • Drums are the best part

  • This is the shit right here

  • complement or insult

  • "the shit"=compliment; on the other hand, "shit"=insult

  • What month in 1994 did he perform this song what is before or after he lost his hair?

  • He didn´t lose it all, he shaved it off.

  • BECAUSE HE WAS LOSING IT.

  • Phil Collins is amazing!

  • yea its a pity phil is getting old though

  • Magical performance!

  • Best performance of this song ever

  • they really need to stop fucking clapping.

  • fuckin word

  • What always bugged me about this performance is the odd editing at 5:05 to 5:06. He's in the middle of a drum 'roll' across the toms, but then the angle cuts to a shot where he's not drumming that part. Weird.

  • Probably a special on A &E years ago...I like this vid because it seems like the last time he performed (on drums at least) in the original key..

  • where was this held

  • check out the vocoder

  • J'aime bien cette chanson, elle est très touchante.

  • Great performance, but I think later in the year he lowered the key in order to make his job singing on this and playing drums easier. If it isn't, well, check out the 1995 performances of it, it's probably somewhere around there.

  • I wonder why he cut of most of the drum part in the cd version

  • Yeah, that was my favorite part.

  • THE DRUM SOLO AT THE END ROCKS, OMG he goes fucking nuts, damn that is the best version i have ever heard i definately prefere the live version instead of the CD version. long live phil collins

  • really listen to the lyrics..... its a very very dark and personal song.....

  • Amazing!

  • very good! thank you for uploading

  • could you belirve i had a dream exactly the same as the song describes, i was amazed when i heard it the first time and every time after.

  • He sounded freaking incredible imho. He was struggling with the "all my life" at the end, but the performance was fantastic.

  • hell never be able to do the 'all my life' like he used to

  • it seems kind of strange that his voice seemed fine during the 1992 Dance tour, then when both sides came out the following year, you can hear a difference in his voice

  • I don't know what you mean by 'fine' but Phil's voice has changed over the years as he's gotten older. It's gotten deeper and lost some of the rough edge it had in the 80s and early 90s. Even on the WCD tour, Phil had to strain to sing some of the songs. I think in retrospect it was really the 'Dance Into The Light' album and tour onwards that you could really notice a difference in his voice. I don't notice it so much here.

  • I think that this particular performance stands out at the drumming, he was still at his best, unlike his voice, which started to lower a little, but I don't know how he still managed to sound great!!!! ROCK ON, PHIL!!!

  • The key was lowered the following year. I wonder why, he did so great here.

  • I really don't think so if you compare it to the 1990 Serious Hits Tour.... Phil's performance in 1995 blows this one away..... but I'm not trying to take away anything from this.... Even though it's his worst "ITAT" performance IMO, it's still beautiful!!!

  • In just a few months? C´mon...He changed the keys because "The grand finale" got harder for him to do vocally. He has no trouble doing it in the original key TODAY (There is a fantastic piano solo from 2002 of this song, you should check it out) but he was in the middle of a tour. He sings a two hour set almost every day. So he had to change the keys, because it got harder. Nothing to do with his age, it just became too much of a strain for his voice.

  • it got harder for phil to sing it so he lowerd it

  • his voice got deeper

  • his voice did get deeper, but even in 1987 when his voice was supposedly top notch (during the invisible touch tou)r songs like land of confusion were lowered...so i think that maybe even in 1994 he could have sang songs properly in their original key but it was just easier not to since he did two hour long shows..every night.. for several months to perform.

  • his voice was in top notch in the 80's it . he could still reach the higest notes in the late 80's 'two hearts'. 1990 onwards he couldnt do it as much but still brilliant

  • would juance24tap please consider posting the whole Both Sides 1994 concert?

  • I´ll vouch for that!

  • I need the both sides tour!!!

  • WOOOOOOOOW GREAT!

  • is that Chuck Norris playin' the guitar!? :DD

  • fuck you

  • no chuck noris is dumb

  • chuck norris is not dumb, dumb is chuck norris.

  • i can sing and do the drum part at the same time

  • I can sing the whole song exactly like him after MUCH practice, of course, but on a lower key.... It took me about a year to do it.

  • but did he performed it live on a different key?

  • yes, on the first final farewell tour....
