@cshizzle53 Who? He's not on campus yet so I don't know what you're talking about. So what are you gonna do with your pryor jersey? Get it signed and give it to a booster? Asswipe.
This would have been the first team that would have beaten that stupid sec in the National Championship with out a doubt. Well it will happen maybe this year. Go bucks
I can only imagine what Tressell would have done with this 1998 team. The Buckeyes would have easily won the national championship, and they would have gone down as one of the greatest teams of all time.
Yes, the '98 team was loaded with talent. But the 2008 team might be even better. One of the best Offensive Lines OSU's ever seen is now being assembled! GO BUCKS!
@VJLOU I have been an osu fan since childhood starting with the 1979 team and I have to agree with you 98 team was the strongest across the board of all the teams i have ever seen. They had it all and should have been national champions that year without a doubt.
@glenjoke10 only the offensive skill players Hoying, George, Glenn, Dudley..I'll give you that. 98 team was much, much, better defensively and they were not too bad about scoring on offense either.
I was at this game, with my dad and brother. I was a sophmore in high school. Only OSU vs mich game I have been to. So sweet rushing onto the field, got a high fivevfrom Wiley when he was on someone's shoulders.
That '02 team is one of the most underrated NC teams I've ever seen in terms of talent. Everyone knocks them for all the close games but people forget the shitload of future NFL draft picks and all-americans it had.
You are right about that in terms of talent. All 11 starters on defense (and 7 on offense) at least played in the NFL 2 seasons. I actually think overall the 2005 team was a better all-around team (offense, defense, special teams). Too bad Troy Smith was suspended the first game or he would have been the starter for the Texas game.
Yeah, I think the '05 team was more talented too. They lost to the future national champions and Big-10 champions with a combined record of 24-1 by 10 total points. I think by the end of the year when the O had finally come around, tOSU was the best team in the country.
The 98 Buckeyes were the most dominant and talented OSU squad I ever witnessed (I'm 34 year old). That one freaking game vs MSU......at least I had fun on Bourbon St.
thank God for Jim Tressel. all those demons were exorcised on 1/3/03 in Tempe. but i don't know about '98 being the best. i mean '96 averaged 38 PPG and only allowed 10. and 2002. come on. talk about dominant. 2002!

That 98 team was sick. 96 might have been even better. But there wee other good teams in 96. No one was close to OSU in 98.

The 1995 team's run defense was terrible. That 1998 team seen was stacked. The most talented Ohio State team I have seen.
