  • Hey Robin

I just uploaded a version of this same song, but man it's not as tight as yours. I love your version man.

    Good stuff.

    T.

  • Trev I'll check yours out......hope you're keeping well after the op.

  • Nice stuff. Well played there.

  • Thanks very much

  • Phoooooo.... I see you have this guitar for sale now... wasn't looking for a new guitar, but very tempting!

  • Very nice sweet version!! 5*****

  • Cheers thanks for commenting....glad to find your site also.

  • I've seen Roy Book Binder play this many times out in the US. I can get through it myself now, but you sure hit just right. Really nice picking. I'll check out your other stuff. Keep going man. Take it you live in Wales - I lived there for many years, now in Sweden.

  • Really kind comment thankyou. Where in Wales did you live ?

  • Hi Robin, I lived on Wales/Hereford borders, tween Abergavenny & Hereford, moved abroad 3 years ago. Have a look at Mary Flower's Terminal Rag - she's a friend from Portland, Oregon. She's not that well known outside USA but I'm sure you'll enjoy her playing.

  • Yeh I've heard of Mary Flowers seen a couple of her Utube bits very good. My bluesy influence is largely Stefan Grossman his guitar workshop makes this style really accessible. Thanks again

  • Very nice! What is this song, do you know where i might get a tab for it? P.S. it looks like you are using the freehand musicpro electronic sheet music display. If so, what r your thoughts on it? I have sheet music scattered everywhere and i am thinking of getting one someday down the road.

  • I can email the tab to you if you wish...Roy Bookbinder version couple of tiny variations. The kit is a Micro digital BR recorder by Boss...very good

  • Thanks! I will send you my email. It is probably beyond my experience but it sounds great and i like a challenge.

  • No problem, will forward shortly and the others also... I'm sure will manage OK

  • Reminds me of spring or summer, just relaxing outside, seeing people in the neighbourhood. I could listen to this all day :D

  • Great Ben I'm glad you enjoyed it.

  • ja!

    allerdings!

  • Vielen Dank

  • Great playing- so relaxed and chilled- joy to listen to- greetings from Belfast!

  • Thanks very much. Noted your Nils Lofgren fav, great artist saw him live about years ago (acoustic mostly) he was brilliant.

  • Nice version. Is that guitar one of Gibson's reissues of the guitars of the past?

  • To be honest I would love to own a Nick Lucas or Gibson L~00 style, however this a Robert Johnson style model made by the 'Loar' company, an LH200 model(named after the Gibson vintage designer Lloyd Loar of the 30,s).Very reasonably priced and imported from the USA. Thanks for the comment.

  • Nice man!!

  • Thanks alot

  • i like it alot. can i have tabs?

  • Learnt from melody around chord positons and ear. I think you may find the tab online at 'acousticfingerstyle' by Steve Mcwilliam

  • Hi Robin, great pickin' my Welsh friend. 5*****

  • Thnx wayslinn

  • Sounds sooo good, rich and deep... Beautiful guitar playing~

  • Thanks Annie

  • You've got the groove Robin! Excellent playing :)

    Kris

  • Thanks Kris, 'the groove' I like that.

  • That guitar sound great. Well played. Really like the sound of that guitar.

  • Thanks Patman really appreciate your comment. The guitar is a 'Loar LH200' imported from the US; a fairly new model based on the 1930's Gibson style but a little cheaper !!

  • Robin - Wonderful picking - really nice - the guitar does sound great, I will have to check that model out...

  • Thanks Phil, guitar seems to improve with age!!

......and I've not had it long.

  • agreed! johnny cash once said, "a guitar thinks it's a piece of wood for the first twenty years."

  • That was just wonderful. Thank you!

  • Hey thanks maynard and great post on the woodshed !.

  • fantastic picking robin inspires me to crack a lead solo over the top of your track

    superb friend :)

    -Clint

  • Great idea Clint give it a try...A blues capo 2nd Fret (in B then I guess!). I'll set to receive video response. Thanks Clint
