    Tape (or DAT), and playing it through some crappy speakers, will give you a different perspective to the final recording, digital is digital, tape is analogue.

    If you can make it sound good on some little speakers, it's gonna sound 10 times better in a club or on radio. I hope this helps you

  • yea Im gonna use my awesome tape deck to record my shit, then Ill use the pro .005 W MONO speaker for playback...yes priceless advice once again...

  • A really silly advice from "expert" village. If you have a DAW there is absolutely no reason to do this.

  • Well, don't scare them away. It's cool to be prepared, BUT-

    using a digital studio actually simplifies editing. Punch in/punch out recording gives you power and flexibility.

    Are you talking about analog recording?

    The problem is not adding the music--the problem for some musicians/song writers is creating the music and deciding which take to use.

    The producing methods are far easier now than in 1998-
