Tape (or DAT), and playing it through some crappy speakers, will give you a different perspective to the final recording, digital is digital, tape is analogue.
If you can make it sound good on some little speakers, it's gonna sound 10 times better in a club or on radio. I hope this helps you
@Roconnell95 your right, but you dont deserve a thumbs up for pointing out the obvious my friend

Who knew she was a comedian. I saw a big joke from 0:01 to 1:07. Expert Village videos are awful. Thumbs up if you agree.

A really silly advice from "expert" village. If you have a DAW there is absolutely no reason to do this.

Well, don't scare them away. It's cool to be prepared, BUT-
using a digital studio actually simplifies editing. Punch in/punch out recording gives you power and flexibility.
Wow-how hard can duplicating tracks in FL8 or ProTools be?
Are you talking about analog recording?
The problem is not adding the music--the problem for some musicians/song writers is creating the music and deciding which take to use.
I don't agree.
The producing methods are far easier now than in 1998-
