Oh glad I'm right then :) Yes indeed it was different, but it was very much intended for the public and to raise some money for charity as well so yeah. But I did have a good time during the 'battle' on saturday evening, was very nice because of the darkness, smoke, etc.
And indeed, I was the fifer in the unit that camped near the water taps next to the beer tent. (7th Dutch-Belgian line infantry, but we were Prussian Landwehr for the occasion)

Sorry for the criticism i must make, other than that good drill!
I can't work out if you are at the slope arms at 1:00 or a very sloppy shoulder arms.
Also at 1:38 a few people are out of step but make no movements to correct. I think also that the entire platoon is out of step with the drums or vice versa.
I realise the drummers age range but they could make more of an effort to be in time with the pace.
Have you ever thought about the fact that it is actually a video and not in real life...this being so the sound of the drum will not be exact with the movement. I am the drummer in this and have been doing it for 11 years, so if you can show me how to do it better, please feel free to come and find me at the next event!
People like you need to get a life...its not for REAL, all drill is not going to be exact! Drill is once a month, not once a day! I guess your one of these fanatics that thinks its all 'real' and that really living 200 years ago.

I myself hate doing the drill. As re-enactors we are meant to live, behave and act like the soldiers of the period. I realise this is only a hobby but i am sure the soldiers did not behave or act the way you are doing so in this video. After all we are representing the British army of the period, you must take some pride in it otherwise, go find another hobby!
