I go in elevators in NYC all the time but have a major fear since getting stuck in one for 15 minutes..If that ever happens to u just sit in the corner & take slow breathes..most major bldgs have camera's so trust me ,They know you're up there!No need to panic!

The last time I checked, Shindler is the company that service the elevators in the Sears Tower. They don't make, or own the elevators. When their contract expires, other companies will bid to take over service needs of the Sears Tower Elevators.

I also went up there during a trip in 2001, and it was amazing, but my mom had a small case of hearing loss, but it came back a while later. It must have been the extreme altitude change in those fast elevators.
