  • Sounds so good with peace sells by megadeth

  • 3:20

PLEASE WRITE ME, WHAT IS IT?

  • I have that pedal and it gives you awesome METAL tones, it transformed my cousins cheap guitar into a metal screaming beast, Its kinda versatile, like I use it with my Ibanez and it sounds great, the palm mutes and the soloing tones are sick, but when I use it with My gibson les paul studio I get all those metal tones, sounds and screams but if I lower the guitar's volume down it doesnt distort that much and I play blues with it. so before saying that this pedal sucks or that its not good, think!

  • Is this better than the mxr full bore metal ?

  • @Jimmy12prototype I Have tryed both, go with the Fullbore !

  • @Jimmy12prototype no it really isn't. I'd actually go for the electro harmonix metal muff personally, but having played all 3 extensively i can tell you unless you really know how to get your levels right, the boss sounds completely shit, the fulbore is good for shredding but the low ends come out a bit scratchy, and the metal muff sounds awesome but can't do high top end distortion like the mxr and the top boost gets nasty above about 3

  • PEACE SELLS BUT WHOUGH'S BUYING?!

  • @pixelboy45 WHOUGH'S? it is Who´s

  • I own the Metal Zone. I compared the Metal Zone with the Metal Core in the shop when i was wondering which one i should buy.. That ended up being the Metal Zone \m/

  • Thats funny people pissed off they're playing other genres of music than metal core with this pedal! It's a pedal and can be adjusted to the users liking. In 20 years I doubt you guys will even be playing only metal core. \m/

  • what is the wire u hav connected in the top of it?

  • @MetvsBodom thats the connector for the power adapter since these things can run on from your wall socket as well as batteries

  • This or the Power Stack?

  • @FEAROWNAGE power stack man defs

  • what song is at 2:30??? anyone know?

  • dear god, why do you create DS series?

  • OMG this is f*cking metal core pedal stop playing trash and heavy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @venomm94 So if you're using a pedal that has the name "Metal Core" on it, you're not allowed to play anything besides Metalcore? That's just silly...

Also, if you've head one Metalcore riff, you've heard them all!

    *Trollface* ;D

  • @venomm94 if you have a distortion pedal, you can't use it as a boost pedal? dumbass

  • im soo glad i can get that megadeth sound this was the only reason i was ganna get the pedal and i heard u play it i was likee yess u should tell me what the settings are

  • its a shame for the pedal beeing clicked by hand

  • I think its great when metal type pedals are demo'd on youtube and the guitar player plays crappy jazz or blues rock riffs. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!

  • Metal core sells, and I'm buyin'!

  • When I was a child I had haemorrhoids bad and my mother used to beat them off with a stick.

  • why in the name of all that's unholy are you playin bluesy licks at 1:17 !?!?!? i thought it was supposed to be metal?!?!?!? also buy a METAL guitar dude, PLEASE stop raping that distortion pedal. Thank you

  • @TheDarkElfValenDreth the first minute was all METAL...is there anything with showing the versatility of a pedal? quit whining bro

  • metal core is sale , im gonna buyin'

  • Please dont demonstrate a pedal built for metal with a guitar not built for metal ,it's really annoying and you obviously dont have enough sense to see what the problem is ,strat's are built for blues and soft rock ,not metal .Although it is possible to play metal with it ,dont .and to change the pickups in one is a complete waste of money(unless it's a sustainiac pickup or something) and was being used for blues of soft rock .Just stop.Please.

  • @Luuk4Guitar Yeah ok, because all of the bands that fit nicely inside of your own musical tastes are all that matters. Be grown up. If you're a kid, then why you so angry bro? :3

  • metal zone pedal is better

  • @xMrBossx The Metal Zone is terrible compared to this pedal. Even modded Metal Zone's still sound like crap. The Metal Core ML-2 is the best Boss distortion pedal. Sounds really good as long as you don't max out the gain and bass like most 13 year olds do.

  • song name :D ?

  • @inameisyagiz peace sells!

  • Peace Sells, But Whos Buyin'?

  • This distortion pedal doesn't sound too bad for a BOSS

  • Whaha a metalcore pedal? Dude why should you make a pedal for the worst genre of metal; the emo scene. Haha

  • @Luuk4Guitar have u ever even heard any emo bands or are u just criticizing because you can... look at bands like a day to remember, asking alexandria, attack attack, the word alive, and escape the fate. they are all amazing bands and they are emo bands. i personally prefer those bands over the deathcore type shit cz the lyrics actually hav meaning instead of shit like DIE DIE DIE... i hope that is not what u call real metal! but thats just my opinion

  • @guitarsbunch347 None of those bands are emo.....

  • just bought one on ebay!this pedal rock's,will go so sweet on my ibanez .rock on dude.

  • is it possible to pull off good pinch harmonics of this pedal??

  • @Pegudhi def. is. great pedal and pinches are phenomenal

  • Damn they need to rename this pedal, why not calling it Thrash instead?

  • PEACE SELLS BUT WHO'S BUYING?!!!

  • What would be a good pedal for a post-grunge or hard rock sound like breaking benjamin seether three days grace ect. and would it sound good on a modeling solid state amp ( peavey vypyr 30)?

  • the first sound is like the ending of a video from collegehumor

  • Comment removed

  • The hm-2 was the best pedal boss ever made...

  • I think you must test this pedal with a guitar with humbucker. There is no one in metalcore who use a strat

  • @DiscoRByrno

    Damn fucking straight

  • Nice peace sells good work sounds f***king awesome

  • is that a little bit o Megadeth i hear?!? >:D maybe im gonna sound a bit stupid but... CAN WE USE THE FUCKING METAL CORE PEDAL TO ACTUALLY PLAY METALCORE?!?!?!?! IS THAT TOO MUCH TO ASK?!?

  • i have a yamaha erg121 will i have a sound like this?

  • MegadetH

  • Dude never.. EVER use a fender strat for metal, at least use humbuckers instead of single coils. cause I can just tell they are single coils and it sounds like shit. and you should consider using a Metal riff on the metalcore petal. noob...

  • @nikkisixx9sixx a fender strat can play some good metal. Try Kelly Simonz and Takayoshi Ohmura, though they use an ESP fender-looking strat they use single coils and in my opinion they sound way better than your average metal guitarist

  • @TheSyuFan Nope they suck

  • Are epiphones good for metal?

  • @The3uglyguys no, schecter, ibenez and some ltd's are for metal.

  • @The3uglyguys No dude, go with am ibanez, LTDs, Jackson, Dean Gutiars, and BC Rich. Schecter is pretty good for metal also.

  • @The3uglyguys yes

  • @The3uglyguys the thunderbird bass is pretty good for a hard rock/metal band

  • AND WHY THE FUCK IS EVERYBODY IN FUCKING STANDARD TUNING??? SHOW ME A FUCKING IBANEZ RGA WITH DROP B TUNING DUMBFUCKS.

  • WHY THE FUCK IS EVERY FUCKING PERSON USING FUCKING FENDERS FOR A FUCKING METAL PEDAL???? WHAT THE F U C K. USE AN IBANEZ DUMB SHITS!!!!!

  • MEGADETH!!!!!!!!!

  • can you use this pedal with a bass?

  • >Turns on pedal

    >Starts playing Megadeth

    >Jizz in my pants

  • I was at the guitar shop two days ago testing this pedal to the mxr m-116 fullbore metal pedal, and the mxr blew the metalcore away

  • the best of this pedal is....

YOU CAN HAVE A "MEGADETH DISTORTION TONE" :P

  • i was singing to peace sells while he was playing............

  • @hahaGNRRULES So was I, buddy. So was I.

  • thank god you played Megadeth! theyre my fav band and im looking for a pedal that gives me the best thrash metal sound

  • PEACE SELLS BUT WHUS BUYING?

  • I HAVE A QUESTION CAN I USE A 1 SPOT POWER SUPPLY WITH THIS PEDAL CUZZ IM TRYING BUT IT WONT TURN THE RED LIGHT ON :P

  • They need to re-name this pedal to something like....Ultra-Megadeth-Metal or....Thrash Assault.....or simply Metal, metalcore can suck my dick.

  • Whoa, nice job getting that sound out of a strat

  • I'm finding it really hard to decide between this, the ML-2, or the MT-2!!!! Could anyone tell me what is better or what each one is like, for example is one better overall. Thanks to anyone who replies!

  • @FE1261 Let me know what they say because I was about to ask the same freaking thing!!

  • @FE126 @FreeHugs330 1 I don't know about the ml-2, but I have the mt-2 and it's got enough distortion for me. And I want MUCH distortion. xD But the best thing about mt-2 is that you have 4 knobs to get the tone that you want, (besides the volume and distortion amount) and that gives it GREAT versatility.

  • too bassy

  • U could get that sound and more on the MT-2. If u want more mids like this one has, add a tube screamer or a boss os-2 but if u have a tube amp like me just crank up the gain on it and ta da!!!

  • which Megadeth song is that in the beginning? It's on the tip of my tounge but I can't remember it for the life of me

  • @ShredifyinBrian PEACE SELLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I might be considered as a retard, but i think you should demostrate a metalcore riff or solo on it,its actually funny because a metalcore pedal never plays metalcore on youtube

  • @gianniswildchild, call me stupid but dont most metalcore songs have breakdowns, not solos?

  • @brendanhaley15 Both actually. But metalcore actually has more solos. Deathcore has more breakdowns than solos.

  • @gianniswildchild I might gonna get it, then I gonna make a good vid with facebreaking metal core :) woohoo me

  • @gianniswildchild By a Metal Core Riff do you mean a breakdown??

  • @gianniswildchild

i don't think the pedal is actually referring to the genre of metal core but is actually referring to the core essential for metal distortion

  • Why are you using a strat for this review? I would've thought a metal demo would be better using an ibanez or a jackson or something

  • This or the mt-2? I play thrash and 80s metal

  • @Fernandez3995 MT 2 is more for 80's Hair Metal... You can get some great sounds out of it. This is for Chunkier "NU Metal" type music. I have played both.

  • Holy cow

  • my penis for ml-2 metalcore

  • Nice demo. I have the same pedal. Its my main distortion pedal now. What notes were you using in that standard e hardcore riff though? o_o I can never find anything good in hardcore genre for standard e tuning, I always gotta go down to drop d tuning. D-e.

  • PEACE SELLS !

  • wtf

this demo is nothin to do with metalcore haha

  • @tomsawyerbmik That's because metalcore is a terrible genre piggy-backing on the success of better musicians.

  • @Faffel sure man

  • @Faffel great another person who doesnt understand that music changes over the years, why not start bitching on ac/dc because mozart was first, man grow up.

  • @slagemo What? I love plenty of modern music and respect and appreciate change. That doesn't automatically mean I enjoy the dull and dulcet tones of metalcore bands.

  • @Faffel then it hink you havent listened to the right metalcore, the really good metalcore bands are technical as hell

  • @slagemo Technicality can still be boring to listen to!

  • @slagemo im just saying that you might wanna check out more underground metalcore bands, for instance try wasted bullet

  • is this adam d from killswitch engage? :D

  • i originally wanted the powerstack, but i saw someone selling this for 35 bucks, should i get it?

  • @Minnesotankid95 GET IT!!!

  • Why does Boss keep trying?

  • its called a metalcore play metal music!!!

  • this or metal zone

  • @joeldification metal core... its much more simple and i like it

  • my ears ejaculated just now, this would be heavier with the Boss Metal Pedal MT-2

  • It's all about taste. I have a technical death metal band and both guitarists are using this pedal.

    It sounds pretty rad..

  • What you said didn't make any fucking sence.

  • metal zone or metal core??which is better?

  • Metal Core... I tested both today at a huge music store, and the metal core sounded better. (Metal zone sounded like you have your amp in water)

    sry for bad english.

  • @GuitarHeroGreece Metal Core is better, Metal Zone just fucks up your amp, it makes the core sound lack with bass and mids so its like turning the bass and mids on your amp down, sounds crap, PUT THEM TOGETHER AND THEY ROCK OUT!!! WITH A POWER STACK!!!

  • 25 people must not be your kind.

  • Why i he using a strat with a metal designed pedal! I mean, really!!

  • @FenderrMann

It sounds good, so what's the problem !? =]

  • @FenderrMann

Why NOT? Is there some kind of rule that certain guitars must be used with just certain pedals or no pedals at all?

  • @guildgsx strats are blues guitars. I own 2 of em. Theyre not for metal. Unless theres a humbucker in the bridge. then thats fine

  • @FenderrMann

Have you ever heard of Ritchie Blackmore, Jake E. Lee, Dave Murray or Yngwie Malmsteen?

  • @guildgsx None of which play metal. which is what this pedal is for. Dave murray uses humbuckers.

  • @FenderrMann

Dave Murray doesn't always use humbuckers, but also single-coil equipped Strats. And if Iron Maiden don't play metal, what do they play? It doesn't really matter what you call it, all the players I mentioned successfully use a combination of heavy distortion with single-coiled Strats. While I agree that some guitars are better suited for a particular musical style, there's no rule that one can't play metal with Les Paul or blues with Floyd Rose equipped 24-fret ESP.

  • @guildgsx

Dave Murray actually doesn't use single coils in his Strats. They're Semymor Duncan Hot Rails; single coil-sized humbuckers.

  • @FenderrMann

    Lolwut?

  • The only Boss distortion pedal to have ANY low end to it. If you've ever tried a Metal Zone you'll know what I mean.

  • whi to use a Fender strat? best results with a Gib

  • do not buy a distortion pedal unless you want to get dissapointed. Save your money, buy a good tube amp with high gain, that's how to get the perfect distortion. Not with these, I know from experience...

  • @drugdrunkker that depends on how heavy you play i have a blackstar valve amp which is fairly high gain but to get the right tone and distortion i still use pedals even if its just the one it really boosts your tone and pushes your amp to its limits i also know from experience :)

  • @drugdrunkker I dont have money for a great tube amp and i like pedals, i have 3 metal distortions and love to swap between them to have diferent and suitable sound for each diferent style and situation and they all fit in a pocket so i can take them easily to anywhere ther's a shity (or good) amp without the pain of carying more than 30 kg of expensive tubes..my opinion

  • basses shall come from the bassguitar and not from an e-guitar. if you play alone, ok. but in a band or especially on recordings you have to cut the low frequencies.

  • Riff for Pantera )

  • yahhh its sound really powerful!!!

  • i think it sounds crunchier than the metal zone this is grovvier and the metal zone is for classic metal like maiden

  • will sound Good this pedal with Marshall valvestate s80 with bc rich warlock?! thanx

  • is this pedal good for like going from clean straight to turning this on and getting that sound for metalcore stuff like of mice and men, or asking alexandria??

  • @nickluvheat

Yes if you dial your amps EQ correctly. this pedal is very touchy with its high end and gain amounts. I run mine with Low around 1 O'clock, high around 10-11 O'clock and gain around 1 O'clock. here is my bands myspace were u can here it recorded very well: myspace/sirenscore

  • @phillofsirens alright thanks man, and i checked you guys out, its fuckin sick. definitely something ill be listening to :)

  • @nickluvheat No problem man and thanx :)

  • is the level controll just a volume control on the pedal because i have a grunge pedal from digitech and its level knob just makes it louder

  • @RealRock993 The level control is for other pedals...

like if one pedals effects sound to quiet from the distortion, then you bring the level down to the other pedals "level" =P

  • That is the worst sounding metal pedal from boss so far

  • i wouldn't suggest using a srat i'd use something like a jackson or esp to review this

    something with emg's

    good review, though

    nice riffs

  • I have this pedal, and he didn't mention that it also has a mid-range boost on it, so it can actually drive your amp at high volumes if you play around with it and figure it out yourself.

  • best pedal ever

  • HELL YEA MEGADETH!!!

  • what do you think

    boss ml2 metal

    boss metal zone

    metal muff

i want to play some metallica and megadeth stuff

    wich is better

  • @judasmesias69 MT-2 metal zone, the mt-2 is versitile and is great at doing classic thrash and modern metal. And even some rock or blues. Just depends on your settings.

  • @judasmesias69 i would say mt-2 too

  • metal core or metal zone?????

  • i got one but it sounds like theres a chorus flange with it or something idk if i got a defective one of if like its my amp but yeah

  • PEACE SELLS BUT WHO'S BUYING!!!

  • @crazyguitarman420 I am?... :D

  • sooo whats the difference between this and the boss metal ZONE pedal?

  • @powertotehchord yea really i think theyr soo close but i think the metal core doesnt have this little kinda fuzz sound that the metal zone pedal gives you

  • @rockingout013 ahh i see i guess i should probably try them both for myself haha

  • ml2 or mt2 which one is better?

  • @7thMaggot well i dont know he actual names but the metal core is like crazy out of ur mind distortion while the metal zone is more versatile and less insane so if ur looking for a crazy distortion pedal go for the metalcore if ur looking for a versatile medal metal zone is the one for you

  • @getsuga987 thanks for your comment!

  • Comment removed

  • hahaha ée MtOo Perfeitoo

  • if ur looking for a heavier sound with clear soloing leads check out the mxr full bore metal

  • PEACE SELLS!!

  • What pedal is better for oldschool thrash like Slayer, Megadeth, early Metallica, Exodus.

    ML2 or MT2?

  • @Chester1004

Boss HM-2 or HM-3, they are vintage pedals from the early 80's and 90's, and what(for the most part) those bands used. They are very easy to find on Ebay, and usually cost less than a new MT-2 or something like it. They're built like tanks, and the two that I have still work absolutely perfectly even though they are both more than 25 years old. And plus, instead of being just a can of digital bees, they actually preserve the tone of your instrument, and just sound amazing.

  • @icos211

    Thank you very much.

  • @Chester1004

    Your welcome. Keep it metal!

  • @Chester1004 Mt 2, its got a better scooped sound

  • This pedals sick as fuck!
