I thought this video showed a lot of important and useful ways to motivate your students. Motivation is so important for student achievement. I especially liked the ideas of demonstrating positive expectations, setting and monitoring goals, model excitement for learning, challenge, care and create a safe environment for learning. I think one of the most important ways to motivate a student is to make it relevant to them. Students love to ask the question, "Why do I need to know this?"
