  • I was so ready to roast this because of bad form. I assumed it was going to be bad form because most demonstrations of this drill are. Not the case here. Form is solid.

  • @muaythai193 Saves the machines, Stops the bar from potentially sliding about. I did it at my last gym with no towel on drywall... bad idea :P

  • Many hammer throwers and discus throwers also do this drill.

  • haha yeah its probably perfect for what they do!

  • wrong to the posters. this exercise is known to overtime to increase punching power. do a google search on the name of the video "full contact twist."

  • The coordination from this might help with the punching power, but it's largely an exercise for general twisting strength and abdominal conditioning; punching this guy in the gut would probably be a bad move if you like the bones in your hand.

  • Forgot to mention, if he is just having a mid-section workout then goo job, keep it up.

  • Is he trying to improve punching power or just getting an ab workout? Because if hes trying to imporve punching power that wont do much, he needs lighter weight with a more explosive movment,
