though samurai era is really nice and ppl back than were more innocent and happier but i think Meiji Restoration is really important! at least i t save Japan from foreign imperialism!no pain, no gain!i just wish China could have the same success of Japan back 100 yrs ago but that was long long ago la~future is more important!love ur vid and the appreciation of traditional culture~no past no future~^.^

Well, in general, Most of shirines,Temples,Castles,Arche­d Bridges, Gardens are still there. of course, they are retouched and grounds are paved but preserved as they ever been. Peoples' dressing had been changed a lot but still some people wear

Well, I live in Tokyo downtown.Answers as hereunder;

1:20 Large Buddha in Kamakura

1:24 Umm...I'm not clear where it is (Suburb in Kyoto maybe)

1:42 Common mountain village view in west Japan still exist many.

1:39 Yoshino Pilgrim road in Nara (World Heritage)w/ many stone lanterns.

I usually wear ordinal clothes. Sometimes in ceremonial cases,wear Kimono to feel my country.
