I'm #85 to "Like," although I'm chuckling at the mention of UFO traffic gets heaver when Mars is closer to us, omg, that's funny.

I take it that this post dates Kennedy's challenge to land a man on the moon speech (which was made because the entire phases of that mission leading up to Apollo 11 were brainstormed to be possible before 1970 unless Challenger type malfunctions happened often).

Major Keyhoe wrote numerous books on the subject and toured extensively throughout his life talking to anyone willing to listen. I have great respect for him, and anyone else who is willing to come forward regardless of the reprucussions to educate the public.

The '50's and '60's were interesting times, and I believe there were many more UFO sightings then compared to now.

A couple of must read books concerning reports from back then are "The Report on Unidentified Flying Objects" and "Incident at Exeter", and they're both available at Amazon.

Allen Hynek went through three sets of study programs with the US Air Force and found nothing beyond radar anomalies. He made up a couple of idea's (that don't meet the requirements to be called theories or hypothesis in the scientific lexicon) about possible aliens from other planets or dimensions; again without evidence.
