Change Windows Movie Maker Format to WMV (XP, Vista, and Windows 7)

i cant find my file when i try to open it ( import ) i record my videos with my nokia n95 phone which i think is mpeg-4 file format.. i can find other videos but not the ones i record with my phone.. what video format do i need to convert them to and what program do i need to do so... i really want to edit some of my recorded videos but i just cant find them when trying to import them.... plz help me out bro!!
