Well, Overeem has won 22 MMA fights faster than he beat Brock.. So this win says more about Overeem than it does about Brock.. The only two guys that currently can challenge Overeem in any way, in the UFC is Cain and JDS.. Cain with his wrestling and JDS with his speed.. but i think Overeem will beat them both.. Barnett would also be an interesting opponent.. but i think he also would have problems closing the distance..

Devon Alexander quit as soon as he noticed he had a cut, and it was the usual cuts a lot of MMArtists fight through. With the usage of elbows and knees, along with smaller gloves, you are prone to more gashes. Not many fighters complain.
@skylmma Koscheck had his orbital broken in first round, and fought all the way till the end. Had to have major reconstructive surgery. Faber didn't quit against Aldo nor Brown. He had both his hands broken in that fight, and fought till the very end, throwing elbows and kicks, since those were his only weapons left. But gutted it out and had the heart that practically no boxer in the world would be able to deal with. In Boxing, if you're hands are broken, you have nothing else left.

Devon Alexander quit as soon as he noticed he had a cut, and it was the usual cuts a lot of MMArtists fight through. With the usage of elbows and knees, along with smaller gloves, you are prone to more gashes. Not many fighters complain.

Today, the sport of Mixed Martial Arts has evolved so much in a short amount of time, it will be very difficult for a boxer to successfully transition without dedicating themselves to cross-training in other disciplines. And even then, it may be difficult. Depends on how much time they spend on every other discipline applied in the sport.
