Alcohol however, is a good point, why is it allowed, when harder drugs are not. Damages brain cells the same, ruins families the same..I would say that the government gets much money from the high taxes of alcohol and cigarrets. However if it would allow the use of drugs for the same goal, many supporter would turn away from the country.
@DowncastShade during the 1st and second world wars soldiers often took cocaine as a means to heighten awareness whilst they went over the top (and obviously meant the soldiers were more willing to go to .. almost .. certain death) also there are many gang wars which occur most notably in mexico cuba between cartels so war+drugs is quite common

Third: He was not an addict, as far as i know.
But anyway, of course you can show a lot of exceptions, about exceptional minds, but this doesn't means, that an avarage civilian will be the same succesful. Just try to accept that drugs, cause nothing but problem.
