I love Mario Batali, he seriously knows his shit, and unlike all the other food network hosts that are on now, he teaches you something new every episode, not shit that's repeated over and over from all the other FN "chefs."

@paperhoward I have newfound respect for Bobby Flay after I made his brussel sprouts recipe from his Thanksgiving Throwdown. He actually discovered a way to make brussel sprouts delicious. Have you seen "Bitchin' Kitchen" on The Cooking Channel. It's all about emphasis on the entertaining side. Is that what cooking shows are going to turn into?

@buickcitycomplex Expansion technique. Place brussel sprouts in salted cold water on the stove. Bring it to a rapid boil, then reduce the heat to low and simmer until they are cooked. KEEP THE LID OFF. This will take the bitterness out of the brussel sprouts and place it in the water. Discard the water. Non bitter brussel sprouts. After this you can saute quickly in some butter or give them a little bacon. They will be delicious. You can also give them a bit of sugar.

This is pretty cool, I wish there was more of Rain and Summer..btw, I hardly notcied that was Summer, Rain yes, but not Summer, does anyone know what year this is? last time I saw Summer she had short hair and it was kinda blondish red.
