My dearest Maurizio - I thank you again for this concerto and your thoughts about me - it was a wonderful surprise. :-))) I am still moved. Kisses :-)
Are you certain that this is Op.IX, n. 10 "La Cetra"? According to "La Cetra", "L'Amoroso" is not this concerto. In fact, I cannot find RV 271 in "La Cetra." Could you clarify this. Thank you. BRIAN
@redbrian3655 There are two versions of the "La Cetra", dedicated to Emperor Charles VI - first - officially edited and released as Op.9, - and second - a manuscript which Vivaldi personally gave the Emperor at the time of their meeting. These two versions are very different from each other - it connects only concert RV 391. Usually recorded is "official" first set. :-) Concerto RV 271, is located in the second set, from autograph manuscript .
@Vivaldiana1 Thank you so much for this clarification. That was very helpful and interesting info! So... the Emperor gets his own "private" set!....... BRIAN
@redbrian3655 :-). :-). Yes - was great confusion :-) - The printing of the official version was probably delayed, forcing Vivaldi gather an improvised collection for the emperor, because he wanted to personally give the emperor this dedicated set. :-) . Greetings :-))
This is just mesmerizingly gorgeous!
