Yeah, my mom did! 19, that is soooo young. Why are you having this at such a young age!
I think the nurses need to understand that not all poeple can have that amount of liquid in their stomach at that time. I remember my mom throwing up so much! It's horrible!
well iv been having poop problems for a couple of months so my doc figured that the best way was to get the camera! i just got back from it and they didnt find anything, they think i have IBS
IBS Sucks! I'm sorry to hear that you may have that.
My mom has it - and she's had that for about 9 years. She can't have any dairy! I think I may have it too. I can't have fat free milk anymore, nor can I have Lactose Free milk. Both make me sick. At least - I can still have chesse!
In cancer cells the genetic elments of the cell DNA undergoes changes that can be detected by laboratory means. Most polyps are non cancerous adenoma that do not reverse to adenocarcinoma unless it is malignant in nature. So detected polyps that will never be malignant, grow and become cancer and remove it by colonoscopy is no brainier it is money business.. Thanks for your reply
The FDA recently had a warning that sod phosphate which is in this drink is a kidney toxic and 1500 people have a renal failure a weekk from colonoscopic preparations..most of you are fools because you can screen for colorectal cancer with DNA stool analysis only if you are positive you go for colonoscopy....it is mulibillion dollar business that do more damages and harm than good
Having a colonscopy IS a mutibillion dollar a year business. I believe that CANCER in general is a multi billion gazillion dollar industry. I think that a few people do not want to find a cure - since they know if they did - many people would be out of a job!
Perhaps testing with DNA is either not covered under many insurance plans - why people do not do it, or doctors do not agree that is the best way to screen for anything inside. But I do not think the DNA test will show polups.
Thank you, that is not a wasted video but good info for alot of people whether or not they have IBS or not. If a person is not careful they can mess up there electrolyte with all that diarrhea too and vomiting. I always was keep in mind the doc does not know it all. I hope your mom takes a break for awhile before doing the test because this is overwhelming.
You're absolutely right. For my first colonoscopy I had those exact instructions: Drink the gallon within 2 hours, taking 8 ounces every ten minutes. I threw up. Its brutal and some (not all) med. professionals have no sympathy for their patients. They're just executing what they've read in their textbooks.
The video I posted was from my second colonoscopy and I was given the option to either drink the whole gallon again or do the "split dosage". I had instructions for both from my doctor.
I had my first one at 20 when I was diagnosed with bowel disease.

@FEVER55555, she did not have anything inside. She was clean clean clean. I do not know what kind of sedation she had. The regular kind I guess.

Another issue is the pharmacy not having the stuff in the first place! Friday went to Rite-Aid, said they had 1 gallon left.
I talked to the nurse yesterday, she said she will write prescription for here, we could fill it there at medical center!
We get there. "Oh, we don't have any left, we could order it, it will be in by tomorrow". We looked at each other and said . .
"no, we need it today, her colonoscopy is tomorrow!" She looked in back. They had a generic gallon. Thank God!
