Heinz harald frentzen one of the best guys in f1. If his Jordan did't break down in europe 1999 he whould have been world cahmpion in 1999 because he whould have done better in the rest ofthe races that season. a real nice guy we will mis him in racingworld.

But he was also easily intimidated, as seen when Schumi forced him off at Montreal 98'. But he was a likable guy, and we're gonna miss him. :)

actually Damon Hill already had decided in 1998 that 1999 would be his final season racing, and he admitted he took it easy and drove for the pension. It would be unwise risking it all in ones last season. Mika Hakkinen did the same in 2001, especially after his nasty Melbourne 2001 crash. Niki Lauda did the same in 1985 and was nowhere near Alain Prost in the same car, unlike the year before.
Damon said his heart was not into it anymore and was 39 at the time.

Ah yes that German bloke who replaced Damon Hill at Williams for 1997& then drove like an also-ran and achieved less for the team. He was ahead of hill at Jordan for part of the season, purely because the new grooved tyres did not suit Hills text book smooth driving style. Appart from that season he didnt do much else.
HHF was a hero to me growing up. I was very happy to see that he was chosen to drive what I consider to be my favourite GT race car and for the works/factory Aston Martin-Prodrive outfit :).

Unfortunately he had really bad luck sometimes in his career.
For me he was a good name in the Formula one show, and worth to remember.

Frentzen was a great driver. Actually i wanted him to win the '99 F1 championship very much, but his eniginefailure on the nürburgring just summed up how unlucky his carreer was, i guess.

ahh frentzen so good in 99, then got screwed by the car and the team in 00 and 01
still stunning that they let go of frentzen when he even offered to put his own money into the team, seriously the type of driver u want, EDDIE! WHAT WERE U THINKING!?
well i know he wanted Sato to save his honda deal, dunno y really the Honda Engines had a lot of gremlins at the time.
