Hello! The tutorial is very good, but only do what it says the video does not add the halo effect that you could tell me and what I need to not leave me,
It actually doesn't 'need' a black background, as an example, the water in my bug game doesn't have a black background, but it still takes the dark colors and makes it transparent.
Can you make a video on how to use those kind of effects on photoshop. When ever I do it there still the black part in the way of the transparent pixels.
nvm it works now, i create a cube delete all vertices on the positive X side and make use a halo effect on the one at the negative X and then it should work
there is an easier way then what he shows. you can go into the game logic add an always sensor, add an controller, and add a actuator. change the actuator to a edit object actuator. then at the spot that it says add object click the drop down menu and select "track to" then type in the name of the camera object. and if you need to change what side points at the camera then, go into the object buttons>anim settings, and at the top of that window choose the axis that you want to look at the camera
im making a doom remake but instead of useing a explosion im useing the gun sprites, my question is if im useing a sprite as the gun and i lock it to the camera how would i make an animation of say 2 more sprites to play as a shooting animation, i think i would have to place them over the original gun and use a hide mesh but im not sure, enlighten me
Thanks for this! ive been having trouble wit getting the halo to show in the proper direction. this helps me see a little better how it works... but will still keep practicing it til i completely understand.
my texture has black background and is a PNG does that has anything to do with it?, what format is your texture?, i have turned it in all the ways possible and its not showing.
cool thanks man i knew about making the black transparent but i could never figure out how to fix the edges and having it always face the camera is gonna be useful great tutorial man

@qazwsx2541 But if you have more than one camera, f.e. splitscreen, it wont work

what do u mean face the screen
20thmember 2 years ago
the front side of it always faces the camera where ever it moves, creating an illusion of it being 3D

What is "halo" for??
