I shat my pants everytime I heard that unearthly groan in a dungeon. No teleport, a real maze to navigate before I reach the exit and probably an ancient vampire on my back. It really frightened me. No other game made me feel that way.

@Bandfred No idea. Bethesda made all the other dark elf characters in Daggerfall blue-skinned when they made appearances in Morrowind, too.

this isn't related to what you guys were talking about but i also noticed that Khajiit characters in Daggerfall look human like they have tails but they don't look like the cat race like in morrowind and oblivion so interesting to see how the developers change their minds about such things

Notice how mannimarco's necromancer servants look like buff badasses in daggerfall but in oblivion they look like weak mages in pussy robes.

Mannimarco just looks more fearsome in daggerfall than in oblivion you can easily distinguish him from the rest as their lord. In oblivion he was just some altmer in black robe. He was dull in oblivion

@thurbman Yeah, In Oblivion he was really lame. They put no imagination in to making him. I was really looking forward to seeing him in O and was highly disappointed. I was expecting a bad-ass but ended up with a bland-ass.

Scourg Barrow has that certain pants-soiling effect. Ancient liches and vampires, the number 2 and 3 creatures on the game's power scale, kept around as doormen and waiters...

Wait let me get this straight Mannimarco the King of worms the first lich ever in oblivion lore and leader of the necromancer cult Is arranging a Freaking MARRIAGE in exchange for a baby!?!? Now that's just silly but apart from that its FULL OF WIN and also i just noticed that the dancers and other monsters there are actually referenced in the Oblivion PC Mod Mannimarco revisited as in his throne room he has dancers a crypt and wears red and look like a full on lich Neat.

Although Morrowind is awesome, it can't compare to Daggerfall. Daggerfall just has more depth and possibilities. Having an infinite number of random quests available and thousands of locations was a brilliant idea IMO although sometimes annoying, it was brilliant as the game's lifespan would entirely depend on the player's willingness to play the game.

If one would want to, they could do quests for 10 years and there would still be things left to do.

@loraxe99 I would agree if it wasn't for the land being a little TOO big, as well as the randomization. Otherwise, it would be the winner if it's graphics were able to compete with the newer titles, and if the land was interesting, like morrowind.
