@BearKlaw Well, being it's a mash-up, I'm not sure if it falls under copyright laws, as this version was technically never released, sorta like public domain. Do some research if you can, but if you can put this up in a documentary to spread the love of this hard to find song, then more power to ya!

@djmixer209 Hey, thanx a lot, man! I've read the whole story. I had the same reaction when I bought the OST CD many years ago: That wasn't the version I expected to hear!! I was very dissapointed too, specially because I bought that CD just for this track. BTW, your copy of the OST was a vinyl record or a CD? Just curious, since I hear some noise at the beginning of the song.

Yes, both versions of the songs are on vinyl, not CD. The CD version of the OST was VERY low and had mastering problems, while the vinyl singles of both the OST mix and Full-On mix were very high quality cuts of the tunes. But of course, the downside of that is you get the sound of the record when the song starts. Oh well, makes it more authentic if you ask me.

If you compare the soundtrack version to the movie version at the opening of the movie, there's a slight difference in BPM. It's very minor, but not by much. And thanks.

Glad ya dig it. I recently made a DJ dubplate of the recreation, so that way I don't have to have 3 turntables (2 for the two mixes to mash-up, 3rd for my next song to queue) if I ever wanted to play this version of the song live at a club or party.

And yes, the movie version rocked on so many levels!
