Big Joe was playing at the Red Fox with Mac Banks during this time. I asked Mac about five years ago if he had recorded any of their duets. That was about the time that Miss. State students and their girl friends "discovered" Honky Tonkying at the Fox . Mac said that there were something like twenty songs recorded, but that they were all lost in the fire that destroyed the Red Fox . The Ernest Tubb photos were lost, too. Check out Mac's classic, Crawford After Midnight.

A lot of people have confused who wrote this, almost every rock group has recorded it. I read it was the most covered blues song ever. Try Ted Nugents version. I'm not a huge Nugent fan but he did a great cover of this.
