How to use Pinnacle Instant DVD Recorder with your Dazzle Capture Card (with commentary) [1/2]

i bought mines from amazon and i got the pinnacle instant dvd recorder install CD and i did all the stuff . i dont have splitters but i have a/v cables but i just hooked my ps3 cords to the dazzle so i can just look to the screen and my tv screen is black . and when i record my gameplay and hit stop recording it makes it to a VIDEO_TS file and i was wondering how do i make gameplay for my youtube from this . do i have to download Pinnacle studio or is there another way? plz i need help .

Hi you know you can do a lot more things with dazzle cause i have one my self.You can use it on a VCR video player to transfer video tapes. if its got RED WHITE YELLOW parts at the back.and You can even use it for SKY OR SKY+HD.at the back of the SKY box or virgin.don't know about BT Vision.theres a RED WHITE And YELLOW port.you need to get a cable RED WHITE YELLOW both sides.one to dazzle one to the sky box.and you can play your favorite programs wile recording on a dazzle.

I need some help, I bought a Dazzle Video Creator Plus HD and the Guide says the CD should install Instant DVD Recorder, but it didn't. Also, my Dazzle is DVC 107.

@TheClintamis You can actually record from the Pinacle Studio. Just go to Import amd choose your Dazzle, then click START CAPTURE and its done ;)

@SpudHDD You need a driver installed for the dazzle dvc 100. I had the same problem and couldnt find the DVC 100 in the capture source but after installing the driver it was fine.

the only problem i have is when i record something, it will save, but then i want to record something else, and it asks me if i want to overwrite. will i lose my previous recording if i overwrite? if so, how can i have multiple recordings saved up?

@BlackBelt288 when you record something rename the file that takes up the most memory (for me it is something like VTS 01 01) then when you go to record something else click overwrite. you then should have the previous and new recording. that should work.

@KABCAT67 u have to record in the same quality your playing in so you cant use an hdmi cable ur gonna have to use av cables to play... sucks i know but its how it works if you hate it save up for an hdpvr

I also have this same product.It records fine but when you are done recording a vhs movie into hard drive the "generate disk menu" goes on for hours and wont finish the project so you can burn to DVD.Anybody else out there have that problem? By the way Pinnacle/Dazzle does NOT offer support for this unit.And lots of luck trying to get a support tech there to help you.

Ok so I've managed to get pinnacle to capture in good quality through AM cap, but does anyone know how to select an external mic source to record simultaneously? Normally I open Sound Recorder and use Stereo Mix, but so far it just selects my in-built laptop mic and it's really quiet. I've tried toggling all the audio options on AM cap but none have made any difference. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

@xAsHz the only way you can get colour is with am cap because the dazzle is not ment to be recording PAL Format.

For all of you that are having problems with black and white you need to have AM cap installed on your computer, i had the black and white problem when i first got it. you need to open AM cap after the black and white preview window comes up in the pinnacle instant dvd recorder. thumbs this up so everyone having this problem knows how to fix it.
