There's another fantastically brilliant "I Love to Boogie" video here on youtube that was uploaded by TheShiiziest. qtrilla, I commented on TheShiiziest's video so it would be unfair of me not to comment here and say that you also have brilliant editing skills (perhaps not as immediately apparent since you're using a lot of non-dance footage) :)
Gotta love T Rex, excellent soundtrack here, fantastic film captures the 80s so well! my uncle is in it somewhere as an extra, he plays a miner, one of the scabs infact! Makes my proud to be from the biggest mining village in the uk :)
On what exactly? If you have an interesting point of view that you would like to express in a mature and intelligent fashion, I would be happy to read it. Otherwise, keep your infantile insults to the playground at school tomorrow.
Don't talk soft. Get off your high horse. Dance is about expression, and you can dance to anything. Grow up. Realise that there is more to life than what your current narrow viewpoint allows you to see.
I think Marc Bolan's music was about freedom regardless of class and gender and the film was only trying to represent this in an oppressive society back then in the 70's ie miners strike and heavy unemployment and out of this came a positive image with a young working class boy with a talent and able to be a ballerina, beautiful, I don't think he disgraces the music of Marc Bolan as he was only a boy remember.
the film makes me cry! i like the bit where billy is teaching michael to dance in the tu-tu and the bit where they're outside and billy cottons on that michael's gay and michael's like "you won't tell anyone will you?"......infact i love the whole god-dam film!! i live about 5 mins drive away from the transporter bridge thats in that film!! it's in middlesbrough lol
at that time a young gay would been terified of being outed cause the other kids would of beaten him up it happened to a kid at my school it was horrible
@queengirl270591 I agree with you - a brilliant film, and apart from the lad who played Billy, the man who played his dad is really good in his role, very convincing a real man!
the was North of England in the eighties, quite grim back then, and the film shows the class difference and the struggle the country was wrapped in very well...
cool *^-^

Yes ofcourse i dont mean him personally.
We still have an opressive society except for the internet. Enjoy it while u can..
homeborn 4 years ago
Marc Bolan was actually looked upon as a 'pansy' back in the 70's and if you liked him then what is wrong with a boy dancing??
