does the animation matter that much ?? the story is awsome and i was afraid that they would fock up season 2 some how .... is it the best anime of all time maybe not but i would say its the best writing anime of all time

Rico kicks ass in this season!  Although she looks really creepy. Henrietta sucks in Season two.

@eacortes In the second season, Pinocchio is a foil of Triela, or an alternate character with similar characteristics and positions. At least, that was the intention, to show how a gunslinger girl and an orphan are really similar to each other. The tragedy being in the end where they are both pitted against each other. Rico on the other hand seemed closer to Pinocchio though in my opinion, as Juan is abusive to Rico, as that one guy is indifferent to Pinocchio.

Its kinda werid but in the first season there was Triela and Claes right well they maybe the only to that look familiar from the first season. HUH

I agree that Madhouse should have got the second season of Gunslinger Girl animated, if not them, then Bones, they do great animation!! Yay Bones and Madhouse are my favorites....that's not to say the animation was bad, I like it a lot, the transition just takes a minute to get use to. Gunslinger Girl IS AWSOME!!!XX33

You won't find an English version for a long time, because people still have this ridiculous notion that anime should only be in its original format. Even though the DVD comes in dual audio and there are programs to rip the DVD with dual audio/subtitle in a single file. I prefer to watch anime in its original format, but i have nothing against dubs. If you are able to find a torrent of this season with dual audio support it.

GSG is an awesome anime, but i can't stand what they did with the animation in season 2. In season 1 you can see all the detail that was put in to the show, but for some reason a lot of that was lost. Still the story for season 2 was well done, although i do prefer tragic endings.

Well, they changed animation studios. That's basically the only complaint I have with it. I rather liked the Pinocchio arc from the manga and thought they did a descent job here. It could have been a lot better with the previous animation studio (was it Madhouse?) but still enjoyable...

You are correct, season one was done by Madhouse (awesome) and season two was done by Artland.
