The suspension was made especially so that it could be comfortable yet still allow for good performance; if it really were only about speed they could have simply made it entirely for performance. They didn't add any turbos or superchargers because they reduce the reliability of a car; again if they were only interested in speed, they could have added some turbos and made it even faster. The car has air conditioning; if they only cared about speed...
