i can't understand why more people don't know about Achebe! His books are awesome. I enjoyed Anthills and Man of the People.

it's because he doesnt suck up to the west like Soyinka with his Hybrid Greek-Worshipping plays. Ngugi and Chinweizu are extraordinary writers whose creative genius young Afrikans the world over need to become more in touch with.
