  • at this time i was a fluid in my daddys balls...!!!! great song!!!!

  • thank god for nivana

  • Athough The John Barry Seven of the 1970's

But athough they never backed any other Artists. But By the time this great Hollies' like single got released. Athough it only made no 8, Yet The Glitter Band had lost all their glam rock image, And they started to sound like a beat group of the 70's instead.

But they were a great group in their own right.

  • agree with every thing you say heatsloan

  • POLSKA KURWA !!!! Glitter ma zajebistą muzykę .

  • alun

if i remember correctly they were tony leonard (left) and pete phipps (right)

  • @thebadloser cheers pal

  • PLEASE TELL THE NAMES OF THE TWO DRUMMERS

  • The Glitter band were a band in their own right as they were only visual in t.v. performances with Gary and musically in concert.. They didn't even appear on Gary's recordings. Therefor they could do their own recordings without him.

  • @tasteygeezer Gary liked to say his records were just him & Mike Leander, but John Rossall had a heavy involvement from the start musically, and cos he jumped ship at the end of 74 it was easy enough to write him out of the picture.

  • mike leander, their manager/producer "cashed in" on the bands 'girl pulling power",did it just 4 da money.no other reason.

  • Why did the Glitter Band record singles on their own? What was Gary doing while they were performing on their own? And I'm not being funny, just wondered why they ran 2 separate careers back then.

  • @Feisty1967

Gary and the Glitter band began to record their own singles after 1974, as both had huge followings in their own rights, the glitterband had enough fans to branch out on their own. Also gary retired in 76' and the glitter band continued recording.

  • @heatsloan I cut my teeth on The Glitter Band way back when. I wish I could get a digital version of the album they put out call 'Listen To The Band', that was my favorite. How about Mud, Sparks, The Roubettes and Sweet...?

  • I cut my teeth on the Glitter Band. Does anybody know where I can get the album they put called "Listen To Band" on today technology? Thank you...

  • Boy oh boy I remember cutting my teeth on the Glitter Band as a kid way back when; It seems such a long time ago. I wish I could find the full album of "Listen To The Band" album they put out on todays technology. If anybody knows... I would be appreciative....thank you....

  • Is that Fred West third from the left ?

  • rip jerry shephard

  • I love you boys!!!! xxxxxxxx

  • loved the gliter band:):):)

  • My fav band of the 70`s. its why i took up drumming :)

  • Saw Gary Glitter in NZ in 1975.The Glitter Band played the first part of the show, gloriously loud & much better live than their "leader'

  • was gary glitter connected with this band?

  • yeah, they were his backing band and they forged a career separate to gg.

  • @roaringwaterbay

He was at one time, But Ithink the less we mention his name the better.

  • If you want to see how its done go to my space/glitterband and see 2009 Glitterband gig. Also on facebook glitter band 2009.Two drummers again clasic what more could you want.

  • But why were therre 2 drummers any idea thanks?

  • it was a popular trend in the 70s to have multiple druimmers, it was called tribal drumming, another example was Adam Ants band which also frqeuently used two tribal drummers. A heavy base beat for very important to glam rock

  • thanks for the reply its interesting. I like to hear heavy drumming depending on the style of the music.

  • Charley Daniels Band in Country rock. Alman Bro, to I think.

  • why does horrid stuff like this even exist?

  • You're stupid.

  • i shall be seeing this band ,this very weekend at we love the 70s at butlins bognor....5th time in 5 yrs they are still very good.

  • Im surprised to see John Russell in this performance. I thought he had already left the band at this stage. Certainly he had when they released their second album "Rock and Roll Dudes" from which the song was taken .Still my favourite band growing up in the 70's and ,as their music testifies, far more than a backing band.

  • This is the GAYist thing I have seen all week. We did not dress................ like this till the 70's!

  • This was the seventies

  • @leefoll Its called Glam Rock!

  • Classic Glam Rock!! Bring it ON!!!

  • Third smash No.8 from November 1974.

  • great band !!

  • Love it!!!!

  • The sound of their guitars is great. And the double drum sets make the rythm! Love it.

  • Wow, the giltter band, at least one of them has to be gay in order to form a band with that name.

  • Well it certainly wasn't Gerry Shepherd - OI have VERY fond memories of him after a gig in Portsmouth!

  • Why not go into detail?

  • Wrong, the youth culture of that time was glam Rock, and Glam and Glitter went togther like Rock N Roll. look at the SWEET, all perms and glitter but they were hard has nails.

  • get your facts straight, they were Gary Glitter's Band to start off with!! - hence glitter

  • i bet ya dont want to get together with the old dirty pervert

  • i love G Band!!!!!!!!!!

  • we used to sing in 1974 lets get to ekker again

    our headmasters nickname lol

    great memories

  • This is still my favourite music if I'm asked 34 years on! Good that Gary got his come uponce. Perverts in any way need exposing.

  • I like this song, Thank you!

  • Never Too Young To Rock wa shown on Channel 4 in the 90's, doubt they'd repeat it in view of GG now.

  • Love the bit where Gerry and John camp it up 'back to back' Abba stlyee. Happy daze.

  • Funny! Drummers in doublepack... Their best track.

  • god ny group with 2 drummers does it for me

  • What a great song. 2 Guitars 2 Saxes 2 Drums - what a brilliant line up.

  • the film was shown on channel 4's glam weekend in the 90's.Brilliant stuff

  • The film was good But the glitter band where MAGIC. WHERE WOULD I GET THE FILM.

  • I reckon ebay would be a good start.

  • Sorry, that last comment was a reference to where this movie could be found.

  • It's the Gary Glitter band but Gary isn't there. I don't get it. Is this his band going on their own without him?

  • yes they did have various hits on their own

  • It's similer to Cliff Richard & the Shadows. Cliff had hits of his own and so did his backing band "The Shadows" Apache etc.

  • Awesome video. I used love that they had 2 drummers. There was talk last year of the band suing GG's estate because since all the shit came out about the pervert the catalogue sales have fell thru the floor for the band.

  • All that glitters is (thankfully)not Gary. Thanks for the cider and kind words John (mid seventies London).

    Gerry,sleep peacefully,we loved you.

  • Never to young to Rock1 released in 1975 I think?

  • @cubleader 76

  • What was the name of the movie?

  • The music stomped, they were colourful in a dreary era. Simple but fun. R.I.P Gerry.

  • Gerry's star shaped guitar was one of a kind. Awesome musician.
