I never heard the coroner make any statement about any of the claims the news media made. He simply said "it was a homicide." What that means is that it was a death that may have been caused by another human. Every statement the news media made was never spoken out on the video of the coroner. Evidence presented at trial indicated that that the Taser had no effect on Pikes' death. Pikes died from red blood cell sickling that was brought about by Pikes' decision to run from police
Pikes was wanted on a felony drug charge & said he didn't want to go to prison, so he attempted to evade police, according to testimony at trial
The Taser didn't trigger exertional sickling, is was the exertion that triggered it.

At trial evidence from a 3rd party coroners office showed the cause of death as being "exertional sickling" NOT related to the taser. This condition is genetics and is found to be prevalent in many athletes and is triggered during intense or extensive exertion.
I don't think this story should have had racial terms in it, but if that's the spin they wanted to put on it, so be it. Not very objective, though. Where's the other side to this story?

Some bad cops can get away with crimes they committed, when we provide evidence with words the judge ask for proof or evidence but when the bad cops makes up a BS story then it's often accepted right away. I never heard the coroner make any statement about any of the claims the news media made. He simply said "it was a homicide." What that means is that it was a death that may have been caused by another human. Every statement the news media made was never spoken out on the video of the coroner. Plus, the coroner is trained to investigate how someone died, a coroner is not trained in what police procedures are. Where did they come up with this mess? Media just starting the flame.

Evidence presented at trial indicated that that the Taser had no effect on Pikes' death. Pikes died from red blood cell sickling that was brought about by Pikes' decision to run from police
Pikes was wanted on a felony drug charge & said he didn't want to go to prison, so he attempted to evade police, according to testimony at trial
The Taser didn't trigger exertional sickling, is was the exertion that triggered it.

It took a ot of shocking before the kid died. There was even a video of how the kid couldn't get up from the shocking an officers were standing around him talking down to him. If you maintain that this officer in some way acted completely in accordance with the law, your bias and should go kill yourself.

I don't think race had anything to do with it. If the officer was black the media wouldn't even find this story interesting. At trial evidence from a 3rd party coroners office showed the cause of death as being "exertional sickling" NOT related to the taser. This condition is genetics and is found to be prevalent in many athletes and is triggered during intense or extensive exertion.
