This game would have the best trailer. Hell, it'd be an awesome film. Get Micheal Bay onto it, Martin Sheen'd be playing the part of the president, and Alan Rickman would be the villian, being voiced by Jack Nicleson.

Great review but I don't agree that there was any legit reason for not releasing this in the US or EU, the thing is an all out comedy and I just can't see anyone actually getting offended by it, with dialogue like "you're all roast chicken!!" how can anyone see this as anything but hilarious satire.

I guess someone was worried that this work of pure fantasy was somehow an offensive comment on America's military which as we all know is teeming with heavily armed patriotic robo exoskeletons.

Fantastic review, echoed my thoughts exactly, down to cracking up half a dozen times.

Could have been improved by scattering gameplay footage throughout. Showing the eagle claw maneuver, the gun pods, things like that. Great work, either way.

I'm not American, but I imported Metal Wolf Chaos. just because its so ridiculous. Anyone who wants to play it, you need not worry about japanese menus. All the duologue in the entire game is in English with Japanese subtitles. Menus are also written mostly in English. The only japanese you'll have to deal with is changing the controls (which you should do to get a third person FPS style control scheme) and going through stats and stuff. The game is great. you really should import if you can.

Well thats one reason. If FromSoftware released the game on thier own with no Publishing help whatsoever they dont have anyway to release it in english because of no public relation guys that could advertise it. For armored core4, they had sega which has a branch of Sega of america. So they probably got some money to publisize it in japan only.

The game does look interesting - Mechs are just awesome! That mech reminds me of Elementals from Battle Mech or hardsuits from Bubble Gum Crisis.

I'm guessing it wasn't localized because the publisher didn't feel that they would make enough money to cover the costs of translation and alteration. I can see where many Americans would have a problem with the main character. He sounds kind of whiny and annoying to me. It would still be awesome to see Jack Thompson get his panties in a bunch!

This game is crazy because it has such an awesome story, but there's the risk of it coming across as an insult. Kinda reminds me of the Dexters Labratory episode where he got the statues of presidents Abraham Lincoln and George Washington to duke it out. It was so awesome,wasnt offensive either. The game demo played so well, and was very fun to play. I can't help but want to try hard to get it released here. Maybe via a petition or something. Meh... I dunno. Thanks for your imput!
