  • Slash i love you

Eric doover i love you too :D

  • Matt Sorum was so stupid leaving snakepit

  • @Luxmaxnike no, he didn't have time to tour with em!

  • @kaaremann wasnt Matt still goin to drum for guns n roses at this time ??

  • @TheWyldeSlash Matt, slash and duff was still in GN'R, but they didn't make a album. So Slash toured with Snakepit, but matt had other things to do!

  • is that brian tichy and james lomenzo on drums and bass?

  • @guitar0893 yes

  • Eric Dover is an amazing singer, but I personally don't think his stage presence is very good.

  • ERNIE BALL POWER SLINKYS

  • is slash using minor scale on the solo too?

  • wich amp is the one Slash is using here?

  • umm ima go with the secound singer for velvet..Rod Jackson .but this guy Eric Dover he's good too.....hell either one should front VR

  • @fatboy240 and also bcuz if slash get too active, his heart will shock him due to the defibulator (i know its spelt wrong lol) installed in his heart

  • does anyone know what string gauge used slash at this point?????? 10's or 11's?

  • @tsavi1

    ernie ball custom 11- 46

  • @tsavi1

just buy ernie ball power slinky

  • Eric Dover is great singer and guitar player!

  • 2:37 ASHDASHDAHUISD

  • You can tell Eric's used to having a guitar on. He's one of the best singers Slash has worked with. He has that rough higher register that the other guys don't have.

  • Talk about a solid performance

  • no it's not playback is so liveeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

  • nah', not Brad. Mark Whalberg?

  • @jroach96 It's neither. It's Eric Dover. Google it.

  • is this playback? oO

  • @Tadheus123456789 lol...no

  • The singer kinda looks like Brad Pit in Interview with the vampire :)

  • who's this drumer

  • BRAD PITT ?

  • They rocked hard! I love Gilby's style.

  • yeah i agree.. 5 o'clock is one of my favourite albums..sooo fucking cool, just rocks, bals to the wall rock n roll!! I got it when i was 15...i'm 31 now, it's just one of those albums that i never stop going to. lost my copy and ended up buying 2 more for 7 bucks at a used record store. rock n f'n roll.

  • love it!

  • dude i can only say one thing , after guns n' roses's break up i think Slash shoulde've thought of reforming snakepit dude, i woulde've love 2 see them on stage

  • I love this song and especially Slash <3 Singer is also amazing

  • Always thought the singer looked better :(

  • lovin the drummer

  • @0willmaestro0 Brian Tichy

  • @remimi thanks :]

  • @remimi Tichy is in whitesnake now

  • This is fuckin' sick!!!!

  • When I made covers of slashs songs I play as hard as I can while I'm sitting down.

But Slash jumps around fucking crazy...

  • Haha, the singer looks too formal and nice to be a rock 'n roll singer.

  • i love slash's dance at 3:02

  • Eric Dover for VR!

  • My favourite performance from this snakepit.

I definatly feel Dover should have had a place on the Slash solo album somewhere.

But ah well.... Dover for Velvet! :D

  • I love Slash's fashion style

  • holy shit this singer is awesome!

  • i like this singer a lot more than the second one

  • @TrilogyLive

maybe you should watch the video of snakepit mk.1 playing 'soma city ward' at donington in 1995 and then tell us eric dover has no stage presence

  • he sounds so much like steven tyler in that pretty damn ace!! but still compeered to axl n scott hes just not as exciting to watch

  • i still cant make up my mind whose voice i rather between rod jackson and eric dover...i think the first incarnation of snakepit had better songs, but then again with the second came songs like "mean bone" & "serial killer"

  • @VelvetFuckinRevolv3r and aint life grand, lifes sweet drug, just like anything

    and the alien.

well i guess all the songs are fuckn awesome

  • @lhzvkAJFbIAJ

yeah man 'aint life grand' & 'just like anything' are especially fucking awesome songs!

  • which singer was the first one? rod jackson or this guy whose name i don' know?

  • it's eric dover

  • slash rocks this is the best song ever snakepit rocks

  • Slash's Rules!

  • what year was this

  • the description says 1995.

    P.S. Slash rules indeed!

  • i cant understand anything, sound is horrible

  • @XXXsecretmanXXX

    its not bad ...

i understand all of this vid ^^

  • but the sound isnt that good, hes right. dunno if its the vid or the actual sound .. ^^

  • Pretty rare :D thankx man (y)

  • Que grande le negro, el año que viene sale el disco nuevooo

  • @diablorojo15 No creo ke ese disco sea mejor ke los 2 de Slash´S Snakepit... pero bueno... No se puede retroceder en el tiempo xD

  • Eric Dover good guy

  • they sound almost like Guns, they are so similar

  • when was rod jackson in the band? the change confuses me heaps. did he record the CDs?

  • Snakepit did actually have 2 Albums. First ones with Eric Dover (The Guy in the Vid) and the 2nd with Rod Jackson. First Albums called Its 5 o Clock Somewhere and the 2nd is called Aint Life Grand

  • ohhhh. yeah i have both those albums but i have the MP3s so i wasn't sure which came first. thanks heaps :)

  • yeh he sang on Aint Life Grand, diff line-ups on both albums except Slash

  • sickk, sounds great live

    awesome vocals

    very tight band

  • To resume the lineup:

    Slash

    Erick Dover - Vocals

    James Lomenzo - Bass

    Brian Tichy - Drums

    Gilby Clark - Guitar

I also think that Dover would be a great singer for VR. Cheers.

  • great version

    I loved snakepit!

  • buuuuuuuu buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu

    the best guns and roses

  • anyone know the singers name?

  • It's Eric Dover, originally from the Jellyfish.

  • I miss Slash's Snakepit...

  • the drummer is brian tichy a session drummer, and the bass player is james lomenzo now with megadeth

  • bass player mike inez of alice in chains!!

  • mike inez didn't join this band on tour! he played bass on the album only, it was james lomenzo a session bass player then. now with megadeth

  • Lomenzo wasn't a session player then. He was the Bass player for White Lion from '81 to '94 before both he and Brian Tichy formed Pride and Glory with Zakk Wylde in '91. He left in '94 and joined the Snakepit on tour. As you said Mike Inez recorded the album and Matt Sorum was the recording drummer. Lomenzo also played with Zakk on Book of Shadows, did some unused recording for Ozzy and played again with Zakk in Black Label Society before joining Megadeth ;0)

  • oh good vocalist fo Velvet Revolver

  • @Skcharynd un buen vocalista no significa un buen compositor

  • Comment removed

  • i think the drummer it´s called james lorenzo...

    but i´m not sure

  • nope, thats the bass player

  • I saw them back in 95, one of the best gigs I´ve been to

  • what is the name of the drummer?

    by the way,kick ass song

  • awesome song! reminds me of aerosmith

  • guns n roses will never be forgotten! maybe slashs sideband snakepit, but guns n roses had such a huge influence on rock history and people, they'll never be forgotten ; )

  • Singer looks like David Johansen from New York Dolls.

  • the singer sounds like steven tyler xD

  • yeah slash en sus tiempos de snakepits me gusta la rola y kmo kanta el vokal =D

  • It's 5 o-clock somewhere is one of my favorite CDs. If I'm angry or want to listen to something raw, it's my go-to CD.

  • exactly:)

  • no no. thats brian tichy. he and james lomenzo join snakepit for the tour (they didnt recorded the album its 5 oclock) after playing with zakk wylde's pride and glory

  • Happy Birthday Slash

  • fuk i wish slashs snakepit was still round!! fuken killer band i love all their songs! ahhhhhhhhhh seriously slash is so fuking hott whooo he just does his solos in pain its amazing

  • Eric voice is amazing, but... his performance is not good, he just stand and do nothing

  • Epic ¡¡¡¡ really sooooo good to be alive to hear this

  • One word: AWESOME.

  • This is PURE QUALITY!!

  • Awesome, I love both albums wish Slash would get these guys back but with Duff

  • those bands for slash are like a relationship, when you divorce a woman , you rarely go back and say let's join together again

  • whos the rythm guitarist looks a bit like jack white but im not sure

  • its guilby clark

  • Gilby Clarke, the former Guns N' Roses rhythm guitarrist

  • dude Eric is pretty perfect for VR. but tooo many problems with that guy..

  • This track is awesome, maybe they should consider Dover for VR.

  • That Eric Dover guy is a good singer... way better than Wieland... I wouldn't go so far as to say he is better than Axl... But very good, kinda has a Steven Tyler sound to his voice.

  • yeah, this song reminds me so much of aerosmith! guitar and vocals, melody and everyting.

  • seriously, Slash should've moved forward with the band like this and maybe with Duff aswell..

Eric Dover kicks Scott Weilands ass on vocals!!

  • fuck yeah he does, specially the end

  • This is awesome to show that Slash doesn't need Axl Rose or Scott Weiland to rock hard.

  • Slash rocks hard even when he sleeps

  • Snakepit R-u-l-e-s dudes.

  • can you beleive that the slash formed that band for the songs that he wrote and which are not liked by axl rose... awesome...

  • I'm saying, and the 2 albums Slash's Snakepit released were each a helluvalot better then anything that "other guy" has put out.

  • and 2 revolver records

  • killer tune

  • dude this is fucking awesome!

  • this is so much better than velvet revolver

  • i think gilby clarke plays much better than izzy strad...used to be my favorite 2th guitar in guns roses!

  • the singer looks like bradd pitt in interview with a vampire

  • eric dover: good singer, bad performer...

  • I dissagree, he didnt feel the need to do all the 80s showmanship and I think it works in his favour, makes him more enigmatic

  • agreed

  • is there a reason why the singe is so stiff?

    Slash rocks..

  • What happened to mike inez & matt sorum?

  • This is slash's snakepit.

  • Yeah, i know this is snakepit. Mike & Matt were part of the original band, but they're not performing here. Just wondering why not?

  • Matt was working with Axl on new Guns n roses material (what a waste of time that was) and Mike Inez was back with Alice in chains, its all in Slash's book x

  • Ah, thanks : ) that's what i figured, seeings as Mike never actually left AIC. I'm actually reading Slash's bio atm, but I guess I'm just not up to that part yet lol

  • yeah i wonder if anything came out of matt's sessions with axl. I always wondered whether they wrote any full songs between 94-97.

  • and duff didnt leave till 96

  • 97 slash left in 1996

  • used to be my favorite snakepit song. SLASH'S ONE FIRE.

  • i think eric dover looks like brad pitt. or the other way round

  • SLASH IS THE ONLY ROCKER THAT STILL LOOK JUST LIKE 15teen YEARS AGO....AND STILL LOOKING BADASS!!!

  • But THIS video is recorded ca 15 years ago... :D

  • LOL!!! that's my point!!! still looking the same today....and it doesn't look ridiculous like others....(like AXL lol!!!)

  • man at 2:50 Slash Nails it,!!!^^

  • Dover lookin' a bit nervous, eh?

  • That guy's voice kicks ass. Incredible. PS. Funny how he stands still, whereas everyone else is moving around, lol.

  • i wanted to see the intro...

  • i don't think VR sucks, but i definitely think slash is more creative and shows his roots better in snakepit

  • I highly agree. VR was an okay rock band, and this band has more energy, and Slash shows off his amazing guitar talent.

  • Slash needs to reform Slash's Snakepit if you ask me.

  • i like slash

  • Slash is fuckin amazing in this band !! (like always but a little bit more in that band)

Slash's Snakepit <3 love that band...

  • the greatest singer for VR i think!!!!

hear me SLASH and get him..

  • this band kick ass!!! velvet revolver suck

  • goddamn i fuckin agree! yeah!

  • I was readn in slash's book that the singer was a total flake so he probly wont be auditoning him for VR. too bad hes preaty good

  • this singer would kick ass in VR. they should just get him

  • I seen this band perform live when they toured, Eric Dover has plenty of stage presence and movement I think he just toned it down for the TV appearance

  • yeah, plus there isnt much stage there so he probably figured he would just stay put lol.

  • best vocal fuuuckkk he`s great

  • the singer has no fucking presence whatsoever, he,s like a straight pole.

  • this is great i think slash should get snakepit back together while velvet revolver is looking for a new singer

  • I don't know 'bout Slash. With GnR he had real cool guitar riffs, like Mr. Brownstone, My Michelle, Paradise City, Welcome to jungle, Locomotive ...

But since then nothing half as creative has occurred to him.

Either, all the good stuff came from Izzy, or Slash blew all his cookies with Guns...

  • yah but you gotta admit the snakepit songs were fucking GOOD i dont like VR

  • O.K. I first had to check some songs of snakepit.

Yeah you're right definitely better than VR

  • i agree its good

but how can u say its better than use your illusions 1&2?!

  • grunge forever!!

  • this band kicks so much ass i mean their not as exciting as guns but shit that singer is great and they kick ass i dont get why slash didnt just stick with this band they are SO MUCH BETTER THEN VR

  • why didnt axl want this material? it was great!

  • he reminds me of ozzy ozbourne

  • i dont know why you got thunbs dont because i can relate to what your saying i think he does look like a young Ozzy and somewhat the same stage presence as Ozzy too
