Have you listened to this one plus the Arkham City one back to back? Listen to Arkham Asylum first then Arkham City second and they meld together pretty well, making one single theme song.
@TheSolow666 Killer Croc appears in a cameo if you hit a specific button at a specific point in the game (easily missed if you don't know about it). He just appears, talks to batman for a moment, then walks away.
The Riddler has taken a bunch of hostages and you have to get trophies and solve riddles like in AA. After a certain number, you get to go to a death trap and you must solve it to rescue a hostage. Once you get all the riddler stuff, you get to go take Riddler himself down
Both themes are great in their own style. I like AC's because it makes me think of Batman as a self-sacrifing hero (goes with the larger scale threat Strange posed). AA theme creates an atmosphere of isolation with Batman being the "specialist" who takes the inmates down .
arkham city have a biggest map, have side missions, have catwoman, have robin, nightwing and arkham asylum have just joker and batman, batman s gadgets are better, the riddler appears in the game and of course more inmates and super villains
This theme is excellant, as is the game. Similarly, 'City is also fantastic in soundtrack and gaming. Both games work really well in their own ways. Personally I love 'Asylum for the sense of claustrophobia and the fact hat Batman is trapped in with all thelunatics. However, it can grate after the main story is finished.
'City on the other hand, is great for its sandbox feel which keeps the mood even afte the main story is finished. However, it wouldn't work without 'Asylum setting up it's story
'Asylum' is a much more atmospheric and more psychological in its theme and tone. The nature of madness and if, maybe, Batman really does belong in the asylum with everyone else. 'City' naturally, like the difference in scale is about a larger scale mystery of corruption and deception, putting lives, instead of sanity on the line as Batman struggles with being poisoned, that he may die and how he may not be making a difference.
@deathofblackrose It kind of is. It really sets the tone for a game where you play as a man who dresses up as a bat and fights crime to avenge his parents death, and is trapped in an asylum with crazies and lunatics he previously locked up trying to kill him though, to be fair to the track.
@astersnake type in youtube 'arham city theme' and listen fully to the video wth half of batmans face on it... this one here is absolutely nothing compared to the arkham city one
@yougonasorry ya arkham city song is better, but is the same song, the base of thenew song is equal to this one just with more tum tum tum pun tututututu pum.
@corvettecrazy262 agreed, I feel like rocksteady cockblocked me in the end of AC, and now we have to wait for the next game for the answers AC made. But the score in AC is incredible
@dumbestname that's where you're wrong, this song totally beat's the crapp out of Arkham City Theme even if i like it,if there would be a song to describe Batman i would chose these one because in it you can find drama, action, total kickass, stealth=Batman it's like i only still play Arkham Asylum just to get to that part where is a mixture of the gameplay and this amazing song.
@dumbestname I don't know about that. I think the two themes are about equal. When you think of Arkham Asylum, it created more of a claustrophobic, trapped feeling. This theme reflects that. Arkham City was aiming for a less claustrophobic but equally dark and epic feel. Its theme captures that well. So I think both themes are good within the context of the games.
@veso5554 I have to agree with you there, you can also hear a Hans Zimmer kind of feel when you hear both themes. First that came to mind was wow, this is another Batman Begins video game, which was very good. Of course it was something much different...and both games being very good. Best superhero games ever.
@BlueBlazer89 wasn't able to play it yet, but according to what i could find about it, they seem to have made the combat and flying system more advanced. on top of making it even more free-roam.
so, i would agree that arkham city is better(IF, all what i said is true), on the points listed.
story and acting i won't talk about til i played it myself
@gurgaya lol if you say that a game is good if it has good graphics and lot of people to smash then I'd shut up if I were you. Operation Flashpoint (2001) Shitty graphics, an excellent game.
arkham city's is better

@OTimeMasterXO Yeah the "no one can hear you scream" mystery feeling in asylum is what kept me going after the story.
City I didn't feel as interested in the story till my second time around when I started looking for the riddles in new game plus.

Arkham Asylum: More toward Danny Elfman.
Arkham City: More toward Zimmer.
