  • Uhmmmmm Fyi thats Called a Sagg Not a Hip toss

  • @ZeldaSwag sag is when u fall to your butt with the head

  • @dajetfan97 Kind its Basiclly a Head and Arm But u Sag Ur Hips Down

  • looks like a glorified head and arm..........

  • i went 1-10 my freshman year, and 34-4 my senior year.

  • @natedogg58341 seriously how you do that cause im 4- 6 this is my first year and i want to get better

  • @natedogg58341 how?

  • @JoshBroughtonMMA this is my second season wrestling and i got raped my first season too, iv'e been pinning guys left and right using a hip toss, and half & a butcher :)

  • I did this on a kid on my team today who weighed 200 pounds :D He has 60 pounds over me lol

  • @rockstr56 soo. he was probably a fish.

  • @DeiTy4GuiTar nah. i just got lucky as hell lol

  • @JoshBroughtonMMA Rick Story went 0-17 wrestling as a freshman. Three years later he ended the season 33-7. Just keep on working hard, bro.

  • @JoshBroughtonMMA well im the jr states champ in wv for folkstyle and freestyle i use the dock under this is my 4 year and i placed every year but ask or coach bout it dude but you have to have the musle to work them down keep trying buddy you get better work out in the spring with the little guy (dont wreslte with them i mean try shots and stuff etc)

  • why do u even put this on here if or not going to go step by step

  • @JoshBroughtonMMA I started wrestling my freshman year and did terribly, won 2 matches the whole season. The next year I just tried leg riding and that got me through the season in a varsity spot with a winning record. If you can find something that you're naturally good at, utilise it.

  • red looks like dominick cruz.

  • For anybody who thinks this is a "newb move", hip throws are used at the highest level of competition of judo, bjj, sambo, mma, and even sometimes wrestling (not as often though). Ive seen a silver medalist wrestler thrown with one

  • @nosira ... n00b

  • @nosira ive seen hip throws very often when i wrestled

  • @nosira ........ then only reason i was good at wrestling was the hip toss... i did it every match.. cept i was really reall really really fucking good at it... the kids knew it was comin but just couldnt stop it

  • that should never work. if you ever get caught with that, it's just plain embarrassing.

  • @ghyt21 for reall all tht really is is a head lock and there easy to defend if u kno how

  • @ghyt21 try getting caught in a standing up cowboy even more embarrassing

  • @ghyt21 it works quite often, just have to bait your opponent to push into you. its really easy to get

  • that move is for middle schoolers and JV kids....any1 at the high school or college level who relies on this move should quit wrestling...shit is so cheap nd takes no skill. Any wrestler can pin another wrestler with this move. I've seen good kids been stuck with this move by kids who didnt even have a single win on the season.

  • @Bbfishman I dont't get it, you say that it is simple and effective

but anyone who relies on it should quite wrestling.

That makes no sense to me.

  • @amazingatheistdiddle people who are bad wrestlers use and rely on this move. If you cannot learn more moves that you can execute effectively and win matches with, then you have no business wrestling.

  • @Bbfishman ok thanks, it looks like a decent move

for some situations in a real fight.

I really don't know much about wrestling or martial arts at all.

I am too old and unmotivated to really get into that stuff but i would not

mind learning a few wrestling moves that i might be able to use to defend

myself if i were to get into some kind of fight which very rarely happens, maybe

10 times in my adult life but it will happen again sometime.

  • @amazingatheistdiddle yea this would be perfect for that....anybody can do this and it will work. If the guy is pushing into you or running at you, all you have to do is wrap around his head nd throw your hip into him and his momentum will do the rest.

  • @Bbfishman It is funny you say running at me, i weight 150

and the only fight i lost was when a guy at work who weighs 230 or so he said, i would say more, a fat gay, walked toward me fast, i sucker punched him but he held my arms down and easily got me down on the ground, he then punched my face in and let me up, i then kicked him in the balls. He went down on his knees

and then we went to the boss and i lost my job. I have gotten big guys down before but when they rush me I am fucked.

  • @Bbfishman then they have shitty body control if they've been pinned with a hip toss. this move is effective, and i agree its a novice move. but, it still wins matches

  • To do this particular toss, you have to be wrestling someone much stronger than you, or your not trying. There's no excuse to be thrown by that.

  • all these guys arguing about terminology are ridiculous. One school might consider a hip toss simply a throw in which you move your hips past the opponent's (in which case a headlock is a hip toss). Another school might consider a hip toss a specific throw. Neither one is necessarily right, and no one really has the authority to define "hip toss"

  • @leavemealone2006 I entirely agree with you. They call the tie-up a collar elbow, but I was always taught it was a collar tie-up; different term but still the same damn thing <<

  • check out austin coleman thats a hip toss

  • yeah thats no hip toss, thats a headlock takeover

    but good video though

  • That is a hip toss. It does not matter that he grabs the arm and the head, but that his hips get under the opponent and that his back is exposed to the mat. Hip toss is a broader term than you think.

  • That'd be a head and arm.Only for rookies using on rookies.

  • What???

  • that's not a hip toss, thats a headlock. In a hip toss, you have the hip. Good video for a headlock though.

  • sweet
