  • @VidAtlantic Could you send me a list of items I would need to make this work, including the brand if possible?

  • Will this work with the fx1 using a step up ring?

  • @CCAProduction100 Sorry the FX1 doesnt have the macro focus capabilities, but with a macro close up filter and a few step rings, in theory any camera can work with the EnCinema adapter. Thanks for your interest!

  • hey this video is sooo great. i have alot of questions. where can i buy the adapter? does it flip the image upside down? what are the settings for this video? forex. what editing software and hdv 720p 30p? please reply.

  • Thanks for your interest in the adapter. It can be bought online at the Vid-Atlantic website. Yes, it shoots upside down like all 35mm dof adapters do.

I used spotlight mode on the HV30, 720p 30p in Sony Vegas. Thanks again!

  • do you have some footage without any color correction?

    thanks

  • yes, check out our Hawaii videos.

  • do u know if this lens will work with my Samsung SMX F34?

  • Yes, according to the specs of the Samsung SMX F34, the EnCinema adapter will work just fine. Thanks!

  • does it work on pretty much any HD camcorder?

  • Yes, the EnCinema adapter pretty much works with any camera with a front filter diameter of 30mm to 49mm as these smaller cameras have great macro focus capabilities.

  • did u use alot of smooth cam for the car shots?

  • no, I just simply placed the camera on the dash board and that was it.

  • oh ok it looked so smooth

  • will tis adapter work with a sony FX7 or canon GL2?

  • I'm sorry to say that our adapter does not work with your cameras yet. We are working on a pro version for the larger lens cameras hopefully to be ready in the coming months. Right now it only works with smaller consumer grade HD or DV cameras as they are able to macro focus so closely on the ground glass within our adapter. Thanks!

  • Will the adapter work with a 52mm filter size? I want to add it to my SONY TRV900

  • It may work well with the use of step-up rings and possibly macro close up filters, but it is hard to tell without having that specific camera. It definitely works well with all camera in the 30mm to 49mm range. A 3mm difference should be all that drastic of a change.

  • Ok. Do you have a recommendation for using a rod support system with your adapter? i would hate to rip the filter ring off the front of the camera.

  • The only time that rods or rails are needed is when using long or heavy telephoto lenses. But almost all prime lenses are safe to use.

  • and we recommend using supports from indifocus if you must.

  • Also, I do have a canon 28-105 F3.5-4.6 lens. Is that suitable to use with the DOF adapter? Does the adapter lose several f-stops?

  • Is the Canon lens a newer EOS lens or older Canon FD lens? Either way they'll work, but if its an older FD mount, then you will need an FD to EOS converter. They're very cheap on ebay.

  • im thinkin about getting that same adapter, how good would you say it is?

  • For the price and the sharpness of the ground glass inside of the adapter, it cant be beat. The EnCinema DOF is the smallest and lightest 35mm adapter available.

  • great thanks for the input, love the video

  • what song is this?

  • moby - porcelain

  • beautiful footage, what did you use for the color correction?

  • Thanks! I used Magic Bullet for color.
