Das erinnert mich immer wieder daran wie schön es als kind war mit dinosaurier fantasien und dem Gedanken einmal einen echten Dinosaurier zu sehen :-)
@Miniminy That's the point. The time he gave is one second after the music stops. In other words he wanted it to keep on going. I agree with both of you. :)
I like how after all those joyful and uplifting melodies, this sort of eerie and creepy atmosphere creeps in. Almost as if to remind the viewer that even though they got away, the dinosaurs are still alive on the island. Brilliant. Just like Anakin's theme from the Phantom Menace in the very end, when it gets kinda creepy and you hear vader's breathing in the backround..sends chills down my spine. =)
I DO NOT see how anybody in there right mind can dislike this...this is amazing... im fairly sure the people who disliked it didnt even listen to the song :/
I like that at 7:15, at the end, after all those joyful and enthusiastic tunes, there's that little creepy part, as if the music is saying, 'yes, it's all very beautiful, but pay attention: life and nature cannot be contained...' quote: Dr. Ian Malcom. He was right from the beginning. I just love him.
I never saw the movie, I didn't expected much of it. But last week I thought about giving it a try to see what the movie was actually about: I was blown away. I never expected how great the movie is. I feel ashamed I haven't seen it before.
ENORME Jurassic Park!
It's sad to say that but.. The best movies were made in the past (maybe except Avatar) Today there are hardly any movies made which are nearly as good as Jurassic Park 1. And: In my opinion Jurassic Park 1 is still the best part from all parts (maybe even JP4)
this reminds me of me and my dog on a hunt ! running through the woods, enjoying the smell of nature. looking to my left and seeing my dog enjoying himself like he never did before. i ll never forget that, and i ll never forget the best dog in the world, i ll always be with you, amen.
@sthfan007 It's not just tweens or teens that are obsessed with it. Regardless of age, I'm still puzzled what people see in that type of music. What's more, I can't fathom how anybody couldn't enjoy John William's score. It has a unversal quality to it.
@roofrivervelly It's those bubblegum pop fanatics! They're too busy obsessing over that horrible exscuse to be called music to bother apprciating true art. It's disgusting. What has the world come to?! John Williams' score is a classic. And in my opinion was robbed an Oscar nomination. I'd choose Jurassic Park's score over that damn pop music any day!
Damn brings me back to 1993 when I was but a little 7 year boy full of imagination. 1st time I seen it was in theaters on opening night. Damn, I will not forget how much of a impact JP had on my childhood. I literally could not stop thinking about it. Also when it 1st came out on VHS, it felt like the longest wait ever for a movie to be released on home video for me. I couldn't wait. I watched that movie over and over. Even bought the toys and video games.
@ContraCommando I know exactly what you mean, I was 5 when I saw it in the theaters and for me it is still one of the greatest movies ive ever seen, i wish they still made movies like this, it really is something special.
@Grammaton485 so true his music is great but i think what he means is he wanted his music to go to the visual on screen witch it dose do that great really when i hear this song i can see the visuals of the movie so they go hand in hand and one dose not over power the other
The greatest soundtrack ever made. Jurassic Park will always remain my favorite film. I've listened to John Williams score far to many times. It gives me a feeling of peace and light. I will never stop listening to it. Truly beautiful and brilliant.
There are no words to describe how I fee aboutthis movie. I love it. I super dooper love it. I know every word to it. Yet I still watch it over ad over again. This soudntrack was the first I looked up for a list of soundtracks, and it willl bethe last I ever listen to XD
@TheCarjell I'm with you there my friend. He and Steven Spielberg made me fall in love with dinosaurs again and I'm 15 going on 16. May he and this movie last trough time.
@MrFrank8675309 agreed my friend. Land Before Time made me fall inlove with dinosaurs, i watched Jurassic Park and my eyes were shining. i would buy any type of book with Dinosaurs in them, i would play a computer game about them (3D dinosaurs) everything was heaven. I'm 18 going on 19 and Dinosaurs will be in my heart forever along with Michael Crichton and Spielberg!
@DarkCrystalSage i swear one day science will bring a t rex to life and i will witness my dream this movie made me want to go into paleontology and i still plan to do that as for my story i would always watch this movie and when i would go to a museum where they had a t rex sound i would stand behind the door with caution but still wanted to muster the courage to go inside and see the t rex with my own eyes this was when i was 8
@MrFrank8675309 I agree. I am 16 going on 17 and will never forget the first time I watched these movies. I was about 5 and my grandmother let me watch the tape because I loved dinosaurs back then and still do. I now have all three movies in a pack. Best 20 dollars i ever spent.
@AzNbOiJayJ I imagine because not many people can relate with others they know about listening to music without words. Even though it's better than most of the stuff out today. I for one feel the same but I listen to it anyway, most of the songs on my ipod are soundtracks :)
Such a classic piece of music. John Williams put so much feeling into the masterpiece that it can move me to tears. It gives a sense of grandeur, wonder and pride in what we as a species can achieve. We should put this much effort in bringing back animals we hunted into extinction. Almost all of life deserves to live happily and in peace on Earth.

@jcacka18 agreed, the JP franchise is a joke thanks to the ridiculous sequels that came after this movie. i just like to pretend this is the only JP movie ;)
@jcacka18 The first two movies are actually based on books so I don't mind the second part. With the third one I agree with you! It was just made for the money.
@nurtester1 Joe johnson, director of JP3 said they are making an entire new trilogy of Jurassic Park Movies. Of course, I'm filled with joy because more JP but sadened because its Joe Johnson directing them
Jurassic Park...first movie I ever saw in theaters! I was 4 years old hahah. My parents couldn't find a babysitter so they had no choice but to bring me along! Biggest accomplishment of their parental career!!
I was a little embarassed that I had the Jurassic Park theme on my iPod. Until one day I told some people at work who are also children of the 90s. Turns out they ALL had it on theirs too! LOVE the 90s!!
when i watched this movie, i wanted to be a paleontologist. This always gives me chills whenever i listen to it :)
