And it is soooo cool to see the ones that break the sound barrier, I do so love the shuttle program, I remember the nintendo game The launching the shuttle, I still have it, Man was it so boring then!,I'll save it. Heck that was 1993, I might see if there is something new, And I do do thank the Brave Men & women that paid with there lives,RIP My friends,You are turely missed, Thank You
Looking at the paused frame at :51 is a view back down towards the launch pad from a camera mounted on one of the SRBs. You can see the launch pad in the background partly hidden by SRB and SSME exhuast. The background appears to be spinning due to the shuttle performing the roll maneuvour just after lift off. You can then see the underside of the left wing of the orbiter center frame, the bottom of the external tank & connections/supports bottom left and the bottom of an SRB in bottom centre
Playing the video from :51 you can when looking carefully see some form of debris (maybe ice, shed foam or other debris shaken loose from vibrations experienced by the shuttle during take off) falling from the top centre of the frame and appearing to strike the front of the engine section just over the OMS engines and then falling back down the ground. I hope that covers your bits flying from top to bottom =) Any more questions please ask
Then watch the teacher in space launch on endeauvour(wahh i hate spelling that word) on sts 118. Launch Date: Aug. 8 - I got nasa tv on my msn space for it ;)
There is also one sequence lasting about 4 seconds from one earlier launch (when the orbiter and external tank can seen moving away from the SRB's), otherwise yeah, it is all sts115. And the music is indeed an enya track =o)
everything is sts 115 except for the one shot of orbiter and tank moving away (at 1:49). The rest of it is all sts 115 launch that i taped off nasa tv from the live launch and from the launch video reruns afterwards. =o)
only a few tiles come off on all launchs,

THAT'S NOT ENYA!!! It's "Adiemus" by Karl Jenkins.

I think that would be Enya. The views from the coastal tracking stations are really neat.

This launch is Atlantis STS-115 from 9/9/06... set to African music apparently.

yeah the other SRB sep sequence looks like STS-121...I also think some of the chase plane video with the clouds in the background is STS-114?
