Excellent. Nice to see other innovators in action. Have designed and flown a couple of "Mad Cow" paramotors. The latest will be ready soon. Cage weighs 2.5 kgs in stainless and I can stand on it! Got your info from Craig. He who musn't sit down too early..hee hee. Brilliant..keep it up!!!
Only problem is: not the best rig for flying acro, is it Tim? Now that Neil is the SAT man, he'll probalby sell me that rig cheap, right?
Seriously: seems to me a great innovation, it is so quiet, and yet with reasonable performance, having battery so light. Congrats, mate! am watching for updates with keen interest...
Great, now my friend would not be chased away by the sheep breeder out in Scotland, he was escorted down the hill with a short gun order after having trudged up it.
Well I'll be damned, I live just down the road from Doynton and didn't know there was an airfield there. Is this somewhere that paramotorists can take off and land from with the right permissions, need somewhere local in late summer!
Its a private airfield used by microlight pilots. So not likely i'm affraid. This is the beauty of the electric motor its around a 3rd the noise level of a 2 stroke and noise is often an issue as we all know. Still ask for yourself, look on google earth for the airfield...
The designer Neil Andrews now has added a longer prop, its also quieter and pitched differently. Designed a solid cage. Positioned the bats' upright. Changed the motor configuration. Has added an infinite step speed controller. The test flights are 20 mins plus even with some 400 feet climbs. Poor chap is finding the weather the biggest deal to crack...
Anyway i have loads of clips and Neil has kindly made me a helmet bracket to get some ace footage so more soon...
show the take off!!

YES- but the real question is: Does it do ACRO? :-)
I guess now that Neil is the SAT Man, he'll probably sell me that rig cheap, right?
Seriously: it seems to me a great innovation, it is so quiet, yet with reasonable performance, being so lightweight of battery and all.
Way To Go, mate! -i'll be watching this space with interest...

I fly electric models, too. Do you know Li-Po's regularly blow up on charge if you're not very careful?
I think the next thing to tackle would be the prop. Noise=less efficient. Quieter=more efficient, plus it's more fun sneaking up on folks ;-)
Defo the way to go, tho. Loadsa interest out there.
Can't wait for the next vid...

Thanks!
New prop soon more power and reduced prop noise.
Longer flight durations and even less weight.
Prototype to be enhanced and retested.
New vid soon...
