the difference between digital and analog is that digital hardware samples the music at 44100mhz a second and analog gets the whole wave form so your getting its true form.

less effects, but the filter effects are far more superior, there is one less channel, but the EQs are total kills, are there kill switches? i cant remember. And its built by vestax, so it can widthstand a tank driving over it.

djm 800 is a digital mixer. pmc-cx is a true analog device. i think there is no comparision between them.i would buy a vestax for its warm sound and analog filters. digital mixers just don't sound best for me. in my opinion pioneer gear is way to overpriced for what it offers. there are many other digital devices that offer much more for the same or even less price. you get better sound, better components, better quality. just check the ecler evo 5.

Italfun here has some good traxs to work with, but with all the cover-ups, meaning efx,eq..etc it sounds bad. Learn to beat mix by itself without all that added crap and learn the music, you will be 10 times ahead of the game. Just because others do it dosen't mean you have to. Let them remain terrible while you evolve beyond them. I think you can do that. Remember a dj is to make people move and dance not say WTF is that playing...remember that.

No offense bro, but my God can't anybody mix without using the eq pots on the channels. That covers up many mistakes and does NOT make you a better DJ, straight mixing does and working the record, not fx or eq's...sorry.

Seems like all you would be screwed if you used a Urei to mix with.

Well actually when i started, i didnt know how to really work the eq. After the years of mixing, Your going to want to learn how to use them and how to use them Well. Thats why your mixer you bought for $800 or $1600 has more then just a crossfader on it. If your only mixing your tracks from an outro to an intro - not much work on the eq is much needed .. practice and enjoy!
