I remember seeing them in Petaluma in '81 before 867-5309 came out, I had the first album and loved it. They put on a great show to a sadly undersized audience, but they played their hearts out. Also on the bill was Great Buildings, some of whom later formed The Rembrandts.Great show by both bands, I still remember it.
too bad theres not more of this performance. need more than 3 songs, this is awesome. cheap date rocks too. agree w/all comments about underratedness of the band. its clear when u see these live vids. first two albums were fantastic.
I was not near aware of rock music tommy tutone's era but today after digging into their archives makes me wanna pick up my dusty guitar, call some friends and jam..INSPIRING!!
I've seen much worse performers become way more successful. A few that come to mind are Neil Young, Metallica, Kurt Cobain couldn't hold a tune but is considered a rock god, neither could Courtney Love, The Doors, specifically Jim Morrison writer of great poems horrible singer... I could go on and on. Tommy Tutone is much better than you want to give him credit for. He is no Placido Domingo sure but, he adds soul and feeling to every performance and that is what makes music rememberable.
These guys were way underrated. They put out a couple of really good albums in the 80's. It's a shame they didn't get more airplay, Tommy Tuntone 2 kicks.
This came out before I was born but these guys were cool. I liked there other hit "jenny" too, it was released the year I was born. Something about the 80s was just awesome.

This sounds a little like van morrison. I'd like to see the original Tommy Tutone together again. Where's the show "Reunited"?

Hit #38 in Billboard. Most folks call 'em a 1-hit wonder because of 'Jenny' but this 1 ht the top 40 1st. God bless!

This sounds damn tight for a live performance, but then Tommy always knew how to put on a show. Man I miss artists like these from the 80's.
