@lovelynessa413 go to google, type in "african dance" and click on the first result.. wikipedia. there you go, you learned something.
ps, america has a bunch of different styles of dance. but to other countries, when you say "hip hop" or "country line dancing," they would refer to that as AMERICAN traditions. and line dancing has irish roots. ever heard of an "irish jig?"
oh my... she is trying but has zero musicality..... oh my....its rough. Best of luck. These poor people don't know any better at least. Maybe some actual dance classes would help her. She clearly loves doing it, she just has no sense of beat, timing or control.
Why would you post something, with other people in it,, that YOU think doesn't show you and your class are your best? what DID you expect? anything that doesn't come naturally is "hard" at first. either you feel it or you don't and it shows. There's nothing wrong with NOT posting until you KNOW your chit is tight--the internet probably isn't going anywhere any time soon. Notice, I didn't criticize you? I'm asking why you would set yourself up for it, if that's not what you wanted?
agreed african is very hard to pull off...I always found it funny how quite the class gets when you video tape...mine always does, they get sooo serious, then it makes me nrvous,lol...thought you did a great job!!
african is a difficult dance. im sending zumba love for the NASTY comments posted here. as long as you guys are having fun, who cares. work on queing. (they seem to already know your routine tho.) good luck!!! - fellow zin =)
1) I'm assuming you posted this video for constructive ideas/criticism .. If you wanted criticism, you shouldnt ask people to "be nice".
2)You shouldnt take videos of your class after an hour of dancing .. start freshhh*
3)You've got the concept, and the music, but I think you need to figure out a way to boost moral, and excitement into your class .. they look confused, bored, and uninterested.. theres no 'umph' behind their motions....its lifeless...
That was SUPER wrong someone find a new coreography...CAN U HEAR THE BEAT.... im ashamed she just murderd hip hop. Can we have a moment of silent for hip hop.................................... amen
Not bad!!! If you keep most of the choreography and add it to a faster song with traditional West African drumming, I bed they'd get even more a workout! :-)
the choreography isn't too bad but your form is a little sloppy (i mean this in a constructive criticism kind of way! please don't take offense!).. tightening up your moves would really help the class follow your lead.
@ShutUpandDrive33 the song and the coreography is good, but this woman has no sense for dancing....she moves like she's fighting with someone, has no feeling...funny, but it's not a bad idea....

I'm ashamed that this is what dance had come to. What is wrong with hip hop? It is similar, but WAY harder.

Just giving you some honest feedback... I liked the songychoice and the coreography was nice and all, but I had a hard time following it.

I also think it's cool that you tried a different style of moves to the song instead of sticking to traditional hip hop moves.

I like this a lot, and I can't wait to use it in my class! My group loves African style. :)
