I liked the still at 1:32 of a young Joan Crawford from the 1928 film Our Dancing Daughters. Too bad that was a silent film. Had it been a sound film I bet the music would have been fantastic. I have that film on video. It is a great representative film of the "Jazz Age."
G. I like this very much - it's a good song and rather unusual tune. There is a real belter of a recording by Sophie Tucker "The Last Of The Red Hot Mammas" acc. by Miff Mole's Molers on 4-15-27 Okeh 40813/Parlophone 3342. You can find/download it on the Red Hot Jazz Archive under Miff Mole. Enjoy. Happy Christmas, Mike
I read it after I wrote the above comment. Anyway, in small dozes and when done carefully it's a great exercise. Luckily I'm out of breath before I manage to break a limb. :)
Thanks for all the great info on Charles. Not very well known, he made some outstanding records during the 20's including "Tiger Rag" and one I just picked up "Campus Capers".
how could you dislike this? it's great! have the 78 someware

I love the interesting intro section and the swingin kind of country feel with the banjo's. The song itself is the cat's meow!! 5*

Grzegorz, My Jumping Jack shoes have stolen my Passport and are on their way to Bydgoszcz! They heard the BANJOS and went wild! Be very afraid! :-)

A perfect Charleston. Made me get up, hold on to the chest of drawers and do a minute of dancing. Exercise with fun.
