The Tea Party is greatly responsible for the overturning of Prop 8 in California. The Tea Party supports and defends smaller government, less government interference in our lives, abortion choice, gay marriage, gun ownership, fewer taxes. Each of these areas is our attempt to tell the government to get out of our way and let US live our lives!

Ku Klux Klan was in just about every southern state. They launched a reign of terror against black and white Republican leaders and assassinated many. The fact that MLK was a republican shows that the parties were different back then. MLK was a communist and the Democrats was a southern party. Deep dark blue in the south. The KKK was created by racist conservative whites in the south as a backlash to the abolishment of slavery. Most of the South remained a Democratic stronghold (from the Civil war) until the civil rights legislation put forth by LIBERAL democrats started giving black people equal rights. There was an ideological switch. Many of the white segregationist Democrat whites gravitated to the more conservative republican message in "Southern Strategy" put forth by Nixon in 1968.
Conservatives have always been the obstructionists throughout history. Standing in the way of ending slavery, civil rights, women's rights and most recently gay rights. They are now standing in the way of healthcare reform and they will continue to do so because they want the status quo (whites on top and blacks on the bottom). Obama represents change and they fear that. (black and whites alike) Tea baggers are clowns fighting against their own interests because of a loser ideology.

The Tea Party supports and defends smaller government, less government interference in our lives, abortion choice, gay marriage, gun ownership, fewer taxes. The KKK was created by racist conservative whites in the south as a backlash to the abolishment of slavery. Most of the South remained a Democratic stronghold (from the Civil war) until the civil rights legislation put forth by LIBERAL democrats started giving black people equal rights. There was an ideological switch. Many of the white segregationist Democrat whites gravitated to the more conservative republican message in "Southern Strategy" put forth by Nixon in 1968.

Conservatives have always been the obstructionists throughout history. Standing in the way of ending slavery, civil rights, women's rights and most recently gay rights.
