  • They came to Tulsa, OK not too long ago and played at a casino there. I was one day from my 21st birthday and the 21+ venue didn't let me in! I was pissed!

  • @soittotaiteilija One time BACK IN THE DAY Bon Jovi was doing a secret club gig...the bouncer let me in even though my 21st birthday was a week away...he was like "Don't even THINK about going NEAR the bar..."

  • thi song needs more cowbell

  • fuck yea man.

  • Now you can't say Angus Young wasn't inspired by this..

  • @mario94parrain He wasn't.

  • Cliff Thorburn!

  • I saw Boc quite a few times in the 70s and early eighties. I remembe one show they closed with Born to be Wild. The Backs of their guitars had a reflective material on them so the lazers and lights would shoot off them . They always put on a Great show.

  • let that girl rock and roll, she may not admit it, but she really, really wants to, trust me!

  • esta musica es la ley es lo mejor del heavy metal

  • What a superb version of this song!

  • Music made for arenas, stadiums, backyards and basements... it just don't matter as long as it's B.O.C. and it's loud... What a great rendition of this anthem by the way.

  • I love BOC!! They're one of my favorite bands. I've seen them 7 times in concert and each show was awesome!!

  • amazing guitar work, thank you buck

  • Whilst taking purple microdot, circa 1980, rhe stage light glimmered off Bucks guitar directly into my eyes as " and then my eyes" was sung. I was blinded...Seared into my memory forever. Wow. What a flashback.

  • BOC in their prime and at their best. What a song. My ears will melt and then my eyes. Awesome

  • i heard this song on the box one time..

    nothing compares 2 'dis

  • Greetings from a Blue Oyster Cult fan (from Saudi Arabia) . This band is one of the main bridges that linked Heavy Metal / hard Rock land with the land of Progressive sound . To add water to the mud , they are one of the most systematic , professional and innovative rockers ever ...

  • when allen enters the room all the fun begins

  • omg buck dharma is the best guitarist in the world

  • Best guitarist? No.

One of the best? Without question.

  • then who is the best

  • You and I both know it's impossible to define the 'best' guitar player. It's not like sports figures where 'the best' is easily quantified: Michael Phelps is 'the best' swimmer and Roger Federer is 'the best' tennis player - no one can argue that. But 'the best' guitar player? Purely subjective and totally speculative. These guys are 'some of the best' ... Yngwie Jimi Kirk Eddie Buck SRV Paco
  • Randy

  • Buck is best when Buck is playing, caffeinejo- san.

  • Saw this show in Cleveland on "Black and Blue Sunday" with Sabbath--loudest concert ever (including the Who and Deep Purple). Literally deafening.

  • I saw this tour "Black and Blue" tour in LA, but it was with Black Oak Arkansas and Montrose.

  • ahahahahaha! That's awesome, man.

  • luv when buck craks da knuckles !!!

  • allen is so cool at 0:44!

  • One of the best shows of my concert going life.

Wish I still had heaven and hell t-shirt from the show. One thing about the song title I don't get. Doesn't "Cities AFLAME with rock & roll" sound more logical?

  • People don't know how hard drums are let alone to sing and play simultaneously. Albert Bouchard utilizes an amazing drum track (very hard to recipricate on the studio recording) and sings which is amazing. You can say tht Don Henley and Phil Collins sing and play, but I'll tell you that they suck at drums unlike this god!

  • Freakin Awesome !

  • I saw this tour they were unbelivable THE MOST UNDERATED HEAVEY METEL BAND EVER! THEY WERE THERE RIGHT ALONG WITH PRIEST AND SABBATH

  • @thejpfan i was there too black & blue sabbath with dio and b.o.c.!!!!!! i agree with youwhat a kick ass band!!!! long island's finest!!!!!!!

  • Albert Bouchard is an underrated drummer.

  • buck darma is the man.

  • That Ballestra that Buck is using has always been my favorite guitar of his. I heard that it was stolen.

  • good plain and simple

  • wow - I saw them in Vancouver about the same time. 1980

  • Blue Oyster Cult so owns 99.99% of the music out there today.

    BOC 4EVER!!!

  • eric bloom is great. if he'd left, they'd be fine, but not as good as they are with him. that's the bottom line.

  • Albert was the most talented vocalist in the group. If Eric Bloom ever left way back when they would have gotten along just fine without him.

  • Most talented....interesting choice of words. Sounds like you have a problem with Eric. Buck kicked Albert out. Eric is the backbone. Remember that. TTMN

  • the lead guitarist looks alot like murderface

  • He's better than Murderface...

    HE'S BUCK DHARMA!

    Metapocalypse is pretty sweet though.

  • They have a very interesting thing going on between the guitarists. Its like a crazy tension that is great, I love when buck hits that chord at 00:58. The lights hit just for a second, I cant quit watching this video!

  • Gotta love Buck sporting the suit. I guess he eventually had to change up the old "On your feet" era white number...cool as that was.

  • OMG!!! I saw this tour. It was my first concert, my favorite band and we had front row seats in front of Joe. Eric handed me a pick during Reaper and a few seconds later I caught one from Joe. I still have both. I've seen them around 17 times and I love them. Buck is one the most under-appreciated guitarists ever. This is such a great tune.

  • hell yes. great!

  • I saw BOC 1980 Portland, Me. Right after the warm up band left....all I can say is Mari-fuckin-juana! By the time BOC came out, the whole coliseum was in a fog of smoke. They sounded so damn good. Man, it was one of the trippiest concerts I ever saw! Lasers and all. Cultasaurus Erectus, Specters, Agents.... STONED.....Whoooaaaaaaa......I'll never forget it!

  • I saw this tour. I left three songs into the next act.......Black Dio. BOC blew them off the stage.

  • I was at that tour in Cleveland, Richfield coliseum, they were touring with Foghat and Starz. One of the best concerts I ever saw!!

  • this is a really good version of this... is this from the Black and Blue movie?

  • DUDE! This is the best Cities on Flame I have ever heard! Buck Dharma is the best guitarist EVER!

  • i got free tickets to see these guys with bad company

    it was sweet

  • Lucky.

  • im live in turkey

i love blue oyster cult but nobody know them

  • haha! nobody really knows them where i live too, in north america..

  • I love the fact that they wrote this song trying to be a heavy metal band. They took the riff from Sabbath's "Wizard". Long live the BOC..

  • On your feet or on your knees! Here they are, the AMAZING Blue Oyster Cult!

  • Yes! My kids were just playing this on GH3 and I walked in the room and said that. Then I had to explain that's how they were introduced back in the 70's when I saw them.

  • cool music. the singing is a bit cheesy.

  • I'm 22 years old and I grew up listening to classic rock, my dad has been to 3 BOC concerts back in the day and I just went with him to one of their concerts last week in NY! I only wish I could have seen all the good bands back then...especially after watching these old videos!!!

  • I guess I saw them the first time shortly before you were born. Sigh. The old men still tour; they are coming to DC in February. :-)>

  • when in feb ?? of course nobody original.. i saw them at cap center...4 times..the original BOC is the shit.. great band

  • I first saw BOC at the Paramount Northwest in Seattle on July 5, 1975. Saw them most recently at the Emerald Queen Casino in Tacoma this past Saturday night...my seventh time seeing them. GREAT live act!

  • If anyone out there is my age..45, have you tried explaining to your teenage son that these guys were the shit back then. Thank god for these old videos !!! Buck Dharma Rules!!

  • coolest band ever!!! this is one of the greatest all time guitar riffs in this song. They play so tight and heavy.

  • The results are in...Blue Oyster Cult ROCKS!

  • test

  • They were one of the better rock bands in the 70's, known for incredible light shows.

  • I'M ON MY FEET AND ON MY KNEES!

  • i'm on the lamb, but ain't no sheep! i think they were reffering to sir rastas bear.

  • All this song is missing is the Harmonica, the raising of the key from G to A and ..presto ...you have "The Wizard"

    Still a great song though

  • Just saw them open for Deep Purple in Boston. The BOC absolutely rule.

  • Lucky you! Wish they'd do a tour of the UK again.

  • Yeah, I was surprised when they did the whole UK tour last year.

  • Needs more cowbell...

  • I saw BOC backed up by RUSH and STARZ in 1976. I was 12 years old and I can still see the Lazers, hear the Gods rock and smell 10 buck an ounce weed.

Thanks For the great Video Robert

  • tee 10 bucks a gram

  • It used to boggle my mind that so many people listened to so called popular music I E : michael Jackson,Phil collins Mariah Cary etc.But after viewing the numbers of how many people have viewew these BOC videos and so many other rock Gods from the 70's like Nazarath,UFO, Ramones, X,Jason and the Scorchers,I'm now beginning to understand their sheep mentality. For all out there who upload these fantastic old videos.Thank You...

  • test

  • this is a kick ass classic song!!

  • GREAT STUFF THOSE WERE THE DAYS, MANNN

  • Joe, Buck, Allen, Albert, and Eric-the Blue Oyster Cult...true Shaolin Masters of the heavy metal stage!

  • Let's just say he's not the best singer...

  • How about Born To Be Wild and Roadhouse Blues from this show? This is from the Black N Blue Film.

  • UFO with Micheal S. opened for BOC when i seen these guys, a lazer show to die for, my ears are still ringing

  • yay! let da girl rock n roll!!

  • Man these shows simply kicked frigging butt!!! Best band I have ever seen live.. BOC rocks!

  • my ears will melt, and then my eyes...

Yeah! Those were the days. Saw them live 3 times in the 70s, and every show was blisteringly intense.

  • I saw this tour! They rocked it hard then, and still do. Saw them a couple of years ago. One of my first concerts

  • When of their best songs!

  • The Cult is the best! Just imagine that Joe and Albert still was in the band!

  • Buck is one of the greatest guitarists of all time, very underated. Blows any of these loosers away we have today

  • F..kin' Albert! I loved the sound of his voice. Similiar to Roger Taylor of Queen. 5 stars.

  • you like roger too? he's got a great voice!

  • these guys had it all; they were ironic, intelligent (well, for a rock`n`roll band, anyway, wink!) - plus they friggin` rocked! this is music made for eternity; the genetically mutated gonzoids of the future will look at this stuff with the single eye on their foreheads and still try to figure out what made BÖC the phenomenon they were.

  • baught this vid off ebay( From the black and white featuring boc and black sabbath). Too bad the dvd was in spanish. Still kick ass even though there are spanish subtitles

  • Barbarically Beautiful!

  • jimmyb207, i live in portland now. i wish they'd come here again.

  • I was at the very same show.

Such a small, weird world we live in.

  • Aw just brilliant! Those were the days when men were men and shagged groupies and you could feel the testosterone vibrations pulsing thru a Marshall stack! lol Great stuff!
