  • I hope he feels as amazing inside as this sounds.

  • i love how you know he could play 1000 times faster, but he restrains.... kind of like what you need to do to have sex properly.... mmmm...

  • Does he always play with his fingers?

type YU Gitaristi - Dragan Jovanovic Krle 1994 live

    Serbian version of this... :)

  • This beautiful song written by Stevie Wonder and sung by an ex wife Syreeta Wright..is so precious...and yes I have always treasured this version as well ~ If you have not heard the lyrics please check them out as Syreeta sings them...the track is worth the price of the album if you can find it ~

  • Y U No Go Past 3:29!

  • clapton ought to hang up his guitar.........as far as feedback use, lyrical tone, and most other intagibles, Clapton doesn't even come close to Jeff Beck, Roy Buchanan, Frank Zappa, or even Lowell George or Duane Allman.....fucking junkie, I hate when people bring up Clapton, he sucks.

  • @MrStevietRI he doesnt suck per say ... hes classically inclined with his playing ... hes not your normal rock legend

  • @caulinrocker1 well, obviously he's a better player than ME, so maybe suck doesn't work there....I stand corrected. I've heard moments and passages of genius from him, but I've just never been gaga, never quite got the hype....but who the fuck am I? Gimme Pat Metheny, or Hendrix, or George Benson, or Trey Anastasio, or Zappa over EC, imho.....i agree though, not the normal rock legend, but possibly the most popular

  • @MrStevietRI ive never been "gaga" either but ive recently been listening alot but i still think hes a bit over-hyped since there are people just as good with less fame

  • @caulinrocker1 Sorry, man, there is Jeff Beck, then there is NOTHING for quite a bit, and then there is the REST. There is no one like Jeff Beck, no one "just as good", period

  • @micanut48 he is indeed one of the best ... but i personally thin chet atkins is the best technical guitarist ever ... but that is my opinion and you have your own ... but on the other hand there is a huge gap between jeff and the guitarist considered to be lesser to him

  • @MrStevietRI

clapton does not suck, end of story !

  • ese baterista no le da el ambiente adecuado a la canción.... debe de ser mas sutil!

  • epic lovers is epic

  • Where's all the Stage Decoration? The Pyrotechnics? The 40 foot TV screen behind the band? The grane that hoists him over the crowd? WTF!!!!!

  • DO I HEAR A STRATOCASTER CRYING??

  • This is his best performance of this song, he was just so on point that day.

  • 後ろのドラムの人もいい顔してるね

  • 1:40 orgasm

  • Only a retard could dislike it!!! Jeff Beck is one of a few that can make the guitar speak!!! Even Eric Clapton admit it!!!

  • You know that the guy is great when he makes the guitar "speak" like that!

  • @zer00g33k Yes and we ladies know that the way a Master of Guitar handles his Instrument he also handles his Lady in the flesh. OH YES!!!!! Makes those strings sing + voice as he does his lovers. I WOULD BET my life on that. WEW!!!!! Chilllllllllls. :-)))))) <3 to all. All of humanity listening to this ONE BEING they would awake from their eons of sleeping their lives away.XXXOOO zer00g33k <--Your s/n gave me some great Angel #'s Thanks!!!!! XXXOOO For you. :-)

  • 66 dislikes? Really??? Come ooooooon!!!!

  • I'm 14 years old, and since I have any memory I love Jeff Beck

  • Beck plays with his bass all the way down and his tone all the way up-The man who made the pick ups on that Strat died a while ago--I think his name was Doug Buhr. He uses a channel switcher and a Snarling Dog Wah-thats it plus the JCM 900's most of the time but he does switch up- But it's his technique and applications that make him the best---@craemac--your son knows his stuff :)

  • Nobody can touch Him! We Love you Jeff! Thank you Stevie Wonder, Beautiful song.

  • what kind of PUPs does Beck use? He sure gets a bold tone out of those single coils

  • @flowerdrop1 I think they came stock with that strat. He gets his tone from his fingers and tremolo. No pick only pure flesh.

  • @flowerdrop1 solid basswood body helps too

  • The genius

  • Does anyone know where i can find GOOD tabs to this? Ive tried to find a few & they r all crap.

  • @MrBac755 learn it by ear, it's a fairly simple melody, it's just about feel

  • @louisalive lol. I cant, my friend can learn songs by ear because he's at that level, but im not, not yet anyway,

  • @MrBac755 it's just practice really, give it a go, it may take a while, but you'll definitely get it eventually! It's quite fun, but yeah... for jeff beck's technique, aside from watching videos of him, check out some of mike casswell's lesson's, they're really the best I've seen for Jeff's stuff, they'll probably be on youtube tbh

  • @MrBac755 try united wetab.com. only 1$ for a tab who is 100% accurante and clearly done. :)

  • No pedals or gimmicks, just his thumb and forefinger, how many of the so-called zillions of talented guitarists can say that, even if you get to the level of say an Eric Clapton...

  • Thanks, very good, guitariste.

  • I think that that girl he plays with is great but she just annoys me...Im seeing him in a couple of weeks and i hope shes not there.

  • With all due respect, 'mark6338,' I suppose we'll have to re-title the song to "Cause We've Ended As Lovers, Too Soon."

Seriously, thanks for the great song.

    Peace.

    Rock

  • This track has almost become a standard for fusion guitarists, but none of them has Jeff Beck's magic.

  • big deal....

  • Genius.... using the volume knob to create the effect that the guitar is crying... absolute genius

  • Believe it or not, my 15 year old son introduced me to Jeff Beck....

  • @craemac well someone should :)

  • @craemac tell ur son hes awesome.

  • @craemac oh my god you must have a wonderful son ;)

  • @craemac good music can find u at any age

  • @craemac lol

  • @craemac Don't feel too bad, I introduced Jeff Beck to my dad.

  • @craemac wife him

  • @craemac sounds like me. i introduced my dad to beck :P

he was like "who is this guy" at first. now he's telling everybody that he's seen beck in concert with me.

btw your son is cool (Y)

  • @craemac that's embarrassing, you just schooled by your own son hahahaha

  • @2315MARCO that's embarrassing, you missed a word.

  • @craemac Haha! I'm 14 and I just showed my dad some stuff by him, my dad seemed to love it!

  • @craemac dude I can never have kids now knowing they will never be that awesome...

  • @craemac Your son has awesome taste in music.

  • this song breaks my heart, yet i can't stop listening to it...

  • pain in the ass for the other great guitarist ryte guyzz...???

  • Jeff's guitar playing ability, coupled with his great precision, is truly rare. He has mastered his craft.

  • I looked up jeff beck. cause they said it on K-on! . Lol But jeff is alot better than how they said.

  • bring a tear to the eye anytime........EXCELLENT!

  • How...Jeff should be thrown in jail for making other guitarists look bad! :D

Rumour has it Steve Vai listened 'Where Were You' and burst into flames...

  • Masterful, toneful, soulful, emotional and just plain awesome.................

  • き き き きたー これ べック なう!!!

  • the fretboard looks scalloped at 3:19 :D

  • Search: LegendSongOfficial "...with my guitar" Sample Video

  • my fav by him

  • i hear notes but i dont hear music

  • @44eelz you must have a strange musical taste.. this is pure music

  • @endrijusk ill listen to any genre any music as long as its good

  • @44eelz You're most definitely deaf.

  • @AlanOfAmine09 lol no, i loooove music, lots of it .. i just dont hear melodies, sorry

  • @44eelz You would be correct. That would be Jeff's guitar which has been modified to have a direct line to God who just happens to be having sex at the time of every Jeff Beck performance. Yes... even when he practices at home (assuming that he practices).

  • @jonahtran1 Lol, whoa seriously, give God more credit

  • @44eelz I'm agnostic.

  • @jonahtran1 me too : )

  • @44eelz High five!

  • @44eelz That's interesting what you say. You only hear notes, but no music. Could you give me a song where you hear music. (I'm not hating you, just interested)

  • @44eelz @44eelz Do you know there's an actual medical term for this genetic dysfunction? :) I don't remember, but supposedly, not many people know about it...

  • @fukkingfokker i mean only for this

  • ONE OF A KIND. Man nobody bends with the whammy bar like him. I been playin Cause We Ended As Lovers by bendin the strings. When I saw this video, it blew me away, that he was doin "teh bends" with the bar !!!I wish Hendrix didnt die. I would have loved to see him and Beck jam today.

  • jeff beck would beat the devil himself in a duel ..... legend !!!!

  • GREAT SONG!!!!!!!!

  • Got to see him live after a 10 year hiatus.

  • Jeff Beck Is Tops! I am proud to say, I own this same exact same Fender Strat - Color, picks ups and all! Thanks for the upload! I like Eric Clapton and Jimmy Page too! This strolled up on my channel video - Country Girl - Same guitar played in the video song! I'm glad it showed up! Thumbs UP!

  • People bash Dragonforce because other people bash`em, they just go with the flow. It`s a pretty fun band with good musicians, nothing to do with Mr. Beck.

  • Anyone who disregards Jeff Beck is lacking grey matter. Too much whammy? Try innovator. From the yardbirds to today, he has been incredibly inventive- who else would be a forerunner of the use of controlled distortion in the early to mid 1960's, and then come up with Nadia in 2001? So he may not have Hendrix's unlimited imagination and raw emotion, nor Roy Buchanan's outrageous technique, how can you really compare them? Beck is amazing, and that is an indisputable fact.

  • does he use a pick?

  • @NerdsKrew No, Jeff always use his fingers.

  • HONKY! THE! ROCK DUMMY!!! JEFF "OH" HECK!!! IS NOT!!! I REPEAT! IS NOT!!! JAZZMUSIC!!!!! TERRIBLE!!!

  • How did he keep his hair?

  • How did he keep his hair?

  • 12 years old and I love soulful guitar playing like this. Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, Nuno Bettencourt, Brian May. All them. More than half my friends think I'm weird or "gay" for listening to them though. And wanting to play guitar like them. And be like them when I get older. I do play guitar too.

  • @joegarzaguitars First time I heard hearing Beck makes you gay. If that's true then I might be one of the gayest people on earth z.z

  • Love this song for so many years now. I hope I can get work off and go!!

  • People like Jeff Beck, Billy Gibbons, Clapton, Vai, BB King and the likes have always had the personal satisfaction of playing a guitar as their main driving point, and playing with that mind set creates a unique sound that you use to express that satisfaction, I don't know if that makes sense, but a truly uniquely styled guitarist like Beck or Knoffler are successful because of the side effect of playing guitar only for yourself, and that's being freaking good at it.

  • Was that ever shit.

  • Inmortal ejecución por parte de Jeff Beck, virtuoso de la guitarra de todos los tiempos. Salud por Beck

  • he speeks trough hes guitar wish i could do t like him

  • @pretorious700 So when you don't agree, you just call it bullshit?

    Very mature argument

  • Is it played in Eb major key?

  • At 0:58 he bends a note, but you don't hear that...?

  • Love Jeff, but the album version is MUCH better.

  • Thanks to Californication we learn such great songs.

  • @gvworld7 haha i don't think any other song could have filled that moment better. it was perfect. talk about mood, tone and meaning. bang on.

  • @gvworld7 word

  • i like beck's tone much better than steve vai...

  • opinions are like a-holes......everyone's got one ...and they all stink....!!!

  • I wish Beck could of made a song where he plays a saxophone arrangement and he uses his technique to replicate the song.

  • those 56 who disliked this song has to be Rappers

  • IDK if i'm the only one who thinks this, and I encourage you to down vote me if I'm wrong, but this sounds terrible compared to the album version.

I have the image of a retarded chimp playing on stage while the crowd is silent in disgust forever burned into my memory. I'm gonna defuse a joke here: no that wasn't my performance the other night.

  • I don't think any other guitarist has gained so much respect from the entire guitar community

  • There a lots of great guitar players around, that for one reason or another never get discovered and never reach the big-time. I have a friend who has been playing for 35 plus years and had a band called Chicago Smoke Shop as a teenager. People will say I'm full of it, but Darren is as good if not better than SRV and easily better than Clapton as a player. Song writing is another matter. But handle a Stratocaster he certainly can and sing too.

  • @R0ckers2R0ckers Your story is an old one. Pure talent is actually quite common; there are a zillion great players out there but few recognized talents. It was practically impossible to get noticed 30 years ago when circumstances were favorable - now it's like winning the lottery...

  • U know , Jeff is magnificent look at the people in silence... He's so clean playing the guitar... This sounds come of the Soul My friend ;)))

  • Jeff Beck here - if you dont't like the TRUTH of my whammy bar, I'm gonna get WIRED and SCATTERBRAIN you BLOW BY BLOW.

  • @robmatlivingstone Assalamu Alaikum! Beck should be playing this five times a day, because it sounds like he's calling the faithful to prayer...

  • @beeroosterm Some people don't like it if you have an opinion. Like when they start going on about who is the best guitar player? Vai is Good, Satriani and the likes are good, but have they written more successfull songs than say, Dave Gilmour or Dylan, Knopfler,SRV, Hendrix,Page,Edge,Johnny Marr,KeeF,? They all play guitar. But for me the artist who can play, write AND sing an Iconic song makes them a better guitarist musician all round.IMHO

  • @beeroosterm And what talents do you have? Actually I don't want to know. Go listen to something else if you don't like it, youre the only complainer here,

  • @robmatlivingstone I'm not really complaining. I think I have a valid point, though...And I do have a talent for playing guitar; I've played this song for the last 35 years. Perhaps it's why I feel compelled to comment on it...

  • @beeroosterm Whammy bars can take a bit of getting used to. He is awesome without one I agree, he just gets better and better. Townshends another guy big on the whammy bar these days, he's a wicked lead player now. Cheers.

  • jeff beck has the best tone I have ever heard so clean so precise it sounds just like if it was of an album...

  • @NINMILLA009 Well, Andy Timmons has a killer tone too. In my opinion, it's half and half between Jeff and Andy. Well, Andy Timmons said himself that his favorite guitar show of all time was by Jeff.

  • unreal,drummins class!

  • Beck's tone is a throne-and he's King.

  • as a guitarist iv'e always been amazed how he picks with his thumb and fingers.

  • got to find a way to do this song without a whammy bar (on my guitar it kills the tuning)

  • @TheOldcountryboy Not a problem - just listen to it on Beck's "Wired" album. He plays it like it was meant to be played - without the whammy bar. I love Jeff Beck, but his excessive whammy'ing these days drives me batty.

  • @beeroosterm Jeff Beck here - sorry about the 'exceesive' whammy bar that drives 1 person in the world 'batty'. I'll stop right now.

  • @robmatlivingstone Dear Jeff, I know you're bored, but your excessive use of the whammy bar on this tune kills the sublime subtlety of your phrasing which originally attracted me to the tune (along with the beautiful melody, of course). And if there's one thing I've learned in this world, it's that if I've thought of it, so have many others. Sometimes less is more. Finally, I know it's your tune and you'll play it any damned way you feel - doesn't mean I have to like it...

  • @beeroosterm Jeff here - I'm really upset now - there's one prima donna out there that does'nt like my whammy bar. I looked up 'batty' and it says it is a slang term for Erectile Dysfunction. Is this correct and can you give me some guitar lessons please. Maybe you could be my manager too and I'll get it right.

  • @robmatlivingstone Hey - I'm not the one "pulling the bar" all the time. Perhaps you should spend more time with your groupies...

  • @TheOldcountryboy Sorry, I meant on "Blow by Blow"...

  • @beeroosterm Hi ya and thanks for your reply. I don't believe I have ever heard the original, which I am told is was written by Stevie Wonder. Is this correct? I have a Fender Stratocaster, but I don't use the vibrato bar as this is a whole skill on it's own and playing guitar is difficult enough right? So why make it more so. Regards, Tony

  • @R0ckers2R0ckers It was written by Stevie Wonder but I've never heard anything but Beck's instrumental version. The whammy bar I believe should be used sparingly. Beck seems to think differently. The fact that I question his use of it appears to piss a few people off; after all, he is Jeff Beck and therefore infallible...

  • まさに唯一無二

    もうギターじゃなくて別の世界の楽器の音だ。

  • The best electric guitarist there is. This guy influenced Hendrix even!

  • @robmatlivingstone Please do your research well, it was acrually the other way around. Jimi was playing more venues at that time. They were both great artists. The true point is we will never know as everything written primarily about Hendrix is hearsay, many words from his own mouth, however much what people perceived post death. We will never no how amazing he would have been, however, both artists were simply amazing, also Santana, Clapton, and many others.

  • @cammicty Uh, sorry but Beck was THE guitar hereo at the time with the Yardbirds from Feb 65 to Nove 66. Hendrix was playing clubs during this time as Jimmy James. I constantly have to correct people, they are so stupid.

  • @robmatlivingstone Sweetie, you are the stupid one. I've done extensive research on Hendrix,,, yes he was playing in CLubs, however in the USA he was already being marketed, where Beck was in the UK. They're bot good and amazing and have they're own styles. Beck was a duo with Stewart & Hendrix was also at Woodstock. Bottom line they all have their different styles.

  • @cammicty Hendrix was completely unknown till he was brought to England by Chas Chandler in late 1966. Everyone knows that,

  • his music sends chills up my spine....his licks are sooooo sticky, I keep humming them even when do the missionary style. : ).Mow, i don't know which my wife likes, the sex or the sound i'm making.

  • Enjoy music, who cares if this or that person plays fast or slow. It is just personal taste. I like all kind of genres. I hear rock, hard rock, metal, jazz, folk. It depens in my feeling. And as Les paul said once, the best guitarist is not the fastest, the best guitarist is the person that even touching one note can make you cry or make you feel better.

  • Music is all a big circle. It's not a line spectrum.

    Music is universal.

Enjoy the music that appeals to you, but don't bitch about the other genres..if you respect music, then respect all of it.

  • I have the impression Steve Vai's 'Tender Surrender' was inspired by Jeff. I can tell because he plays most of it without a plectrum.

  • @H057IL3 true that brotha

  • He makes his guitar sound soo hot with th tremolo bar and volume iv'e been studying him for years and he still eludes me

  • i think he should be ranked in the category of hendrix and jimmy page

  • Damn! How does he remember all his bends, silent bends, his vibrato technique, his tremolo work and hit everything in pitch? Amazing and hardly a dud note in the performance. What legend

  • @R0ckers2R0ckers Beck has been playing this tune for almost 40 years - it comes naturally. And this tune is not written out and played the same way each time. He's good enough to wing it within the parameters of the original. And as I said above - I think he kills the beauty of the song with excessive whammy bar. Christ, it sounds like he's calling the faithful to prayer in Istanbul...

  • @beeroosterm Excessive according to whom? Do you suffer from Erectile Dysfunction?

  • HE IS GOD..........

  • The song was written in the early 70's by Stevie Wonder and originally recorded by his then-wife Syreeta Wright, who performed under the name Syreeta.

  • @Dethsquirrel I Have played the guitar for 23 years now... Although Dragonforce is a bit over the top, it was used to demonstrate the range of guitar players putting their heart and soul into their art. Ive never bought a ticket to the show, but I know Herman can shredd and his fans love to watch him go...
