I believe it was the summer of 1969. I had just turned 7. I was living in North Philly at 21st&Venango. A friend of my mother's lived on the 3500 block of North Gratz between Venango and Atlantic. One particular Saturday Gratz Street was closed off for a block Party and I remember all of us children dancing in the middle of the street to this song. Great post!!

LOL! Memories! James Brown discovered so many talented people and their songs live on! I tell my children today that they do not know what real music is until they hear James Brown, Marva Whitney, Lyn Collins and Bobby Byrd!
