  • Thank you soo much!! i'll try that tomorrow!!!

  • @jasminelexirules Please write back and let me know how it goes!

  • wow your such a great skater! im taking my first free skate test ... do you have any tips for an axel landing? i got the rotation i just cant seem too land the darn thing!

  • @jasminelexirules If you kick your leg straight through and not around, the axel is easier to land- otherwise the rotation just continues and continues.

  • She Looks Beautiful =]

  • I noticed that in the title of the video is says "Artistic Event". I heard that phrase before at s competition, but never quite knew what it meant... So long story short, what is an artistic event? Thanks! :)

  • @JemWykeSmith Artistic events are different from freeskating events (which are not free at all- they have many technical requirements). Artistic events are about the artistry of the skate and expressing the music through skating. Technical elements are not supposed to count except in how they add to the emotional expression.

  • dançam muito bem

  • gial i luv u!imv11 and working on my axel.ur soooo talented!!

  • o que que tu disse?

  • OMG she's soo Beautiful!!!! Good girl :)

  • Gia I absolutely love you im 11 and working on flip lutz loop and starting axel soon can u give me some tips for the loop? I wish I could use this fro my competition also I hope I see you at the olympics!

  • @TheSparkle324 For me, when doing the loop, I have to keep my left arm in front of my body. Good luck.

  • @honeydewandpixiedust In Pre Pre you can do I think 4 jumping passes and you can do all of your single jumps up through single axel. You can only do 2 combos with 2 jumps in each of the combos, though. You can do 2 spins that are different and you have to do 1 set of footwork that covers 1/2 the ice. Good luck.

  • @honeydewandpixiedust I guess you mean Preliminary level. Let me know if you meant Pre Preliminary. In Preliminary you are allowed to do 2 spins of a different nature. You get to do 5 jump passes but only 2 combos and the combos can only be 2 jump combos. You can do 2 of the first 3 double jumps- sow, toe and loop. Each jump can be repeated in combination. You have to do footwork that covers 1/2 the ice. All of that in under 1min 40 sec!

  • really nice!

  • how cute! finally..song is age approriate...see, thats a nice song for her age...wow. i'm so tired of seeing 8 year olds dancings to sex songs and in lingurie etc...

  • Amazing grace !!

  • I'm 11 and Ive been skating since I was 6, but still, Gia is sooo much better =3 Your my inspiration.

Just a few questions since you probably love skating as much as I do. How many times a week do you skate? I skate 4 times a week 7 hrs per week. Is that enough? And where do you get the dresses? How many competitions did you win? did you ever compete in Nationals? How do you get rid of nerves? :) Thanks a bunch. Your really amazing :P

  • @GirlsRule430 Thank you so much for all of the wonderful things that you said. I am 9 years old now and I skate 6 days per week- about 24 hours per week in the summer- 18 to 20 in the school year. When I was at lower levels, I didn't train as much- I skated 4 days a week- usually about 8 hours per week. My dresses are made by Jan Longmire, who designs them after hearing my music. I am juvenile level now and from the first competition to now, I have won 32 competitions.

  • where does gia get her amazing dresses? thanks(:

  • @MizzMickyDoo The red dress for her Zorro program and her new yellow one for Juvenile this year were made by Jan Longmire, who made all of Sasha Cohen's dresses. This year, Jan made Yuna Kim's short program dress for Worlds. The pink dress with the hanging beads is by Franco Martinez who makes the costumes for the LA Ballet. The white dress, here, I designed and we made it with a white leotard as the base for about $75.

  • @Kokotakis thanks(:

  • great lines kiddo! only critique is your hands, i think overtime they will look more graceful, keep up the good work!

  • wow

  • Does Gia ever get nerves? If she odes can you please tell me how she takes control of them? I get really bad nereves before ice skating competitions and I really want to stop. Can you please help?

  • @mads2shine09 Gia reminds herself that if she falls 50,000 times in the program, it won't change her life. She also thinks about having fun and putting on a show, not being judged.

  • She is such a good skater :-) I would love so much to start skating but I'm 13 and that's too old to start isn't it?

  • @AnInnocentSwiftie13 It is never too late to start skating! My mom was 40 when she started and she won Sectionals this year!

  • @AnInnocentSwiftie13 it is soo not too old to start. im 15 years old and i just started last year.

  • she is very good, but i feel like in almost all of her programs she doesnt feel the music, she just does the motions. she needs to feel the emotion. that would push her over the edge!

  • Amazing!!!

  • super impressive

  • what place????? :D

  • what place ?

  • what place did she get?

  • WHERE DID YOU GET YOUR DRESS

  • pre preliminary have axel !? what the ?but she did a great performance ! :D I love her routine !

  • wait- she is considered pre preliminary? that doesn't make sense!

  • I love ice skating. It's so beautiful and graceful no matter how crude anybody think it is.

  • hi gia,'

u were great in this vid

  • ur a little sloppy on your stroking but other wise good job

  • She is so amazing! I used to skate and am SO impressed by her presence... and your choice of music was just perfect for her! :) My 4 year old keeps asking to watch her and loves her dress ... do you mind me asking where you found it?

  • @surfergirljen I had it made with the base of a white leotard. I did the stones myself with both glue and hotfix- I put two holes in the dress with the hotfix stones, so be careful if you try it. The dress cost about $75 total.

  • Very nice! I like the version that she used, very suitable for her age.

  • I'm sixteen, and just started skating! AH! I am so jealous of the girls who started out so young! I feel like a dork in my skating club!

  • @flyaway2magicland I started skating at the age of 40!!!! I finally have all my singles and am working on my axel. I compete against other crazy adults and we have a ball. Don't stop skating because you are not training for the Olympics. It is a past time that you can do for the rest of your life. It teaches so much about life and prepares you for so much. Keep skating no matter what level you are. BTW, I learned this long ago, when entering the rink, check your pride at the door. Haha.

  • @flyaway2magicland Hy! I started skating at the age of 12. In two years I was able to jump axel and 2 salchow and was second at the Paris Open on inline skates. So all what you have to do is to practice, believe in you and NEVER SAY NEVER!!!

  • was she compeating in the artistic catagory?

  • @hahaitsdonutgirl yes. this was her artistic program. Supposed to be artistic dramatic as opposed to artistic light entertainment.

  • wow!i wish i was that good!

  • Thank you!

  • how many girls did she go against????/

  • @skater1232010 I think that there were 14 or 15

  • Awww bless shes amazing, im glad you used connie talbots version it suits her skating :) x

  • please don't ever let her stop skating! She can go somewhere someday as long as she keeps skating!

  • where is tis?

  • @sk8canada009 The All Year Figure Skating Club Championships are held every year at the Culver Ice Arena in Culver City, California

  • I love your costume so much!!!

  • Wow, I didn't realize 7 year olds had that kind of dedication to learn that kind of thing. 0.o Keep up the good work!

  • amazing

  • she is so cute!

hey everyone check out my vids

  • She's so good.

I am a hockey player and I can't skate like that

    I Wish I could

  • @deecee4ever Nope. She came in 3rd. But she competed against older girls who had better skating skills. Gia was happy with her skate.

  • amazing performance, and at only 7yrs old to be able to skate with such emotion and feeling, fantastic! keep up the good work! :)

  • I love watching her skate. it makes me cry. I want her autograph!!

  • I love watching her skate. it makes me cry. I want her autograph!!

  • she has found her talent !!!!! keep up the good work and you could be a star :)

  • shes really really good i can do all thise thing too but shes 7 like wow great job!!

  • who is singing to this song

  • @Cherokeeandme10 connie talbot?

  • ohh ok

  • Amazing! Love the dress. How much does it cost to start figure skating??

  • @airkitty1350 It depends on the figure skating club. If you just start basic lessons, it could be from $40-$150 a session (that usually lasts 6-9 weeks, again depending on the club).

If you actually want to be IN a club, it costs usually around $80 to join plus the ice time could be from $150-$600 depending how much you skate.

Then add the costs of figure skates and dresses.

it's a very expensive sport, but can be very rewarding and enjoyable if enough time is put into it.

  • wow! you are amazing!!

  • very good nice dress

  • nice^_^ and graceful

  • so graceful

  • Absolutely amazing!

  • did she compete in san jose

  • no. She won the LA Open FS Pre Pre level and then went off to outdoor camp for a while.

  • conni talbot sings this

  • who sings this song and she is awesome especially with the spirals

  • Totally perfect

  • can she do any doubles yet

  • Only double sow is consistent, but she lands up to double lutz. Many are cheated, though. She will compete preliminary next season.

  • The haircutter was magnificent!!

Holy crap! That was a gorgeous program and a gorgeous skater!!!

  • HOLY AXEL! That was a beauty. And the haircutter...I can't believe a 7 year old can do that, I'm jealous! Her artistry level has got to be just untouchable for her age and level...she'll be juuust too young for 2018 olympics, won't she?

  • Nope, 2018 should be her first year of Olympic eligibility. She has dual citizenship in the US and Greece, so who knows which country she will represent... of course that is assuming alot of things during this marathon of training to become and elite skater. She may decide that she hates skating when she turns 13 or she could get injured... but barring that...just maybe 2018

  • @Kokotakis i think i can agree with u there , im at pre-juvinile level for solo's and just finishing all my doubles . so i think i will try and aim for the 2018 olympics again without injurys

  • Wow that's great!

    Congratulations!

  • How did she place?

  • 3rd of around 14 skaters. The oldest was 16 years old. Gia was the youngest at 7.

  • is she doing any other competitions this summer?

  • Golden West Championships Sept 3-6

  • A simply beautiful child. She has IT!

    Lorna Brown

  • I am so proud of Gia!!! She works so hard and is improving all the time.
