Might get less negative comments if you put (1968) at the end of the title. Most negative comments probably dont know it was the first use of synths in its infancy. I too would say its bad if i didnt know the year, but i do know the year, so actually its good and interesting.
Drummelskrud. I was about to click like because I liked the tones you were using, but the blatant wrong notes at 13s and again at 22s has me now not even listening to the rest of the song... c'mon man... not a hard song to get right.
Reminds me how close Kraftwerk were to the Bachmeister...If he were alive now he would be suing the Krafty ones...and Dragonforce etc....forget your career in music, study law!
As by the summer lake with body soiled and heavy, diving into the white cold water, this song yields me to its refreshing embrace. With breath held, my arms twirl in a dance of waves and bubbles darting through a precious rush of joy.
ugh.. Bon Jovi meets a synthesizer. Mad props to you for multi-tasking, but Jesus, even though I'm drunk this seems so over-the-top pirouetting. Yuck. Kinda like Kenny G. Think about that. Either way. Yeah, he was successful. Also vomitous. So you did good, and you did bad.

Wendy Carlos' scores in A Clockwork Orange, and even The Shining, are better. Listen- Title Music from A Clockwork Orange, Theme from A Clockwork Orange, The Thieving Magpie, and even William Tell Overture, Carlos-style.
Really nice job! I just got a Korg Micro-preset and fixed it up..well I still need to make one of the switch caps and get another screw for the back panel :-). But it sounds great! Two Korg 35 filters in there. I'm going to do a feature on it and the Sigma side by side soon since the Sigma is kind of the more advanced 1979 development of the general concept.
Amazing. How one can live in a world of unique beauty and have nothing but ugliness to say. I guess that's what makes you so cool and rebellious though, huh? Stay golden.
Opps this is not carlos? was looking for that, nevermind

As a synthpop realization of Bach's work, I thought this was very good and fun. A lot of "purists" here don't seem able to accept it, though :(

I must dis-agree, I thought it was a pleasant and contemporary take on Bach's piece.

The video is quite good. Your realization of Wachet Auf, is about the worst I've heard and certainly doesn't merit comparison to w Carlos's.

Hello Drummelskrudd ...
I love this song ... I listen to it every time I remember bout it ...
Is it possible you would send it to me by mail ... as good mp3 ... or wav ...
In what programm did you write it in ?!?
greetings
Sascha
28jsg7 1 year ago
@28jsg7 I didn't write it. Johann Sebastian Bach did. I just recorded it. I used some old synthesizers and a multitrack recording device.
The visuals were made by Winamp and milkdrop visualization plug in.
