wow! bakit ang dami magagaling d2 sa pinas na choir? katuwa talaga... more power to ur group po!!! hope makanta din namin ito... pde po ba magrequest ng pyesa?
ohh my..no offense sa soloist, I find it disturbing...parang sobra na nga ang tremulo, nasobrahan pa lalo. You might wanna lessen on your tremulo/vibrato plus it's "glottaly" ( if there is such a term) sang.
The 'N's were sliding. also the pauses, mejo hindi clear. The girls' opening were kinda weak, parang kapos sa bilang. So there... hope that the choir won't take this negatively..sorry sa comment ko.peace
the song depicts a barangay, led by their imamh praying to their Bathala.. they are praying to their Bathala to take a curse off the barangay. the solo part, well, its the imamh praying first, then the members of the barangay helped in praying.. then the shout at the ending to scare the curse away.. no doubt, UST's rendition is the best.. ciao..
I agree with VAn Heusen69. UST was great. Saringhimig was just okay. I don't understand where Motzytrico's comment was coming from. Come on, Saringhimig's performance does not come to par with the UST performance. Is Motzy related to the conductor? hahaha
Solo part was the best I've heard among all choirs who performed this. He didn't sound like trying hard, not pushing. I like it. Must have had good vocal training.
The bass could have done something with his voice, what the hell is he doing with this choir? However, he is singing the solo part of this piece like he's singing OPERA. His enterpretation not right. Well again that's the director's taste.
Overall, one can sense that the choir is trying too hard / scared. The interpretation is very "Calculated" not flowing. I heard the competition in L.A. the other Filipino choir did better, very clean, not shouty. Given all the accomplishments & awards Sarhinghimig had garnished in the past as indicated in their website, reader is left to "EXPECT MORE" than just okay!!! suggestion with the website....."be humble" so people don't expect too much!!
I love all choirs, especially humble choirs.....it seems to me that "Motzytrico" is either a friend or member of Sarhinghimig because he is soooo blinded and bias
Best performance I've heard so far considering the tight space. I can tell this group had to limit their movement around the small stage. Vocal quality is awesome.
ahm...is it really to portray war??? akala ko...based on the lyrics of the song...is that it is about the destruction of "the supreme being's creation"...well...what do you think?
Well, you're correct. it's not really war. "Magbabaya, tanawun ang kahimtang..." closely means that the being is asking his.her God to look down unto what he has done... something to do with destruction (of nature, resources). its almost a plea to the God

Well, concerning their performance, I agree that its rather weak. Its something that they should improve upon. But then again, its a nice perfomance.
